Exactly! You're the prosecutor! Which means you have all the more reason for refuting my claims. And which means you DON'T have the right to tamper with the English language. ... and although you could object to my dictionary, you can't argue with the etymology of the word... and since, if you can't agree about the word itself, you most move to its roots, you have to look at the word as meaning "severe" which, I would argue, hugging and kissing people (Although I wasn't there and don't know) isn't.
And since this is all on a Point of Information, and I'm neutral, I'm even handed. :-p...

Madam Prosecutor. I see where a flaw may lie in your question. You asked me if I was a tart in a built up area. We have discussed the fact that whether or not it was a built up area is irrelevant to the case. You also claim to have a witness who said that I 'tasted bitter or acrid' thus making me a tart. I feel that there has been some miscommunication between your witness and yourself, and that you may, infact, be taking their word out of context. There are two views to look at this. a) I 'tasted bitter'. True, I did 'taste' bitter, but from a personal perspective, for I was indeed 'tasting' bitter all evening, that being my particular drink on the evening in question.
b) I think you will find that I didn't in fact taste bitter, but taste /of/ bitter, with regards to point a).
