smiley - snowballA Merry Christmas from all at The Post!smiley - llabwons

Well, the year is nearly over, but it didn't go without the chaos on the roads due to snow and ice matching the chaos here at home. This morning, my PC crashed. Now that isn't anything new, but the error message I got definitely was new to me. After some diagnosis by my husband, I was told that I managed to break *every* PC, and that he'll have to do a new set-up, so I'd best save the data I want to save. That was my Sunday sorted then. When I eventually managed to get back to h2g2, it had slowed down, so that work was very slow indeed.

I wasn't really sad when my friend called to cancel our annual pre-Christmas get together because it snowed so much and was so wet – there was still lots to prepare for this issue.

The team were fantastic, they all did more than their fair share to help me. I've been having trouble with a very slow connection to BBC sites for a couple of weeks now, the speed is only acceptable in the early mornings and the late evenings/nights. A big thank you here, you're all fantastic!

A big thank you also to our contributors and readers. It was a great year for the Post, even though lil and Rich left us.

We'll go on a well earned break now, but afore we go, we wish you all a merry Christmas and all the best for the new year!

The Post will be back on 11 January 2010. Until then, enjoy our wonderful Christmas issue with all its wonderful seasonal submissions and don't hold back with your vote for your favourite Christmas Competition articles! You may vote for one article from each category.

Merry Christmas!

B'Elana

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
