dElaphant (and Zeppo his dog (and Gummo, Zeppos dog)) - Left my apostrophes at the BBC Posted Jul 29, 2001
BB, I'm ready to place my grocery order. I'll need
6 catfish filets
olive oil
Butter
garlic powder
onion powder
Cayenne pepper
black pepper
white pepper
cumin
thyme
oregano
basil
filé powder
wild rice
collard greens
ham hocks (smoked)
tabasco sauce
I will also need a cast iron frying pan - the nonstick one in the kitchen isn't going to survive this.
Also, a large box of baking soda and a fire extinguisher.
For the wine, I think a Pinot Noir from Chateau Julien in California will go nicely.

Are they Garden Flares?

cafram - in the states. Posted Jul 30, 2001
Possibly - they're a bit like bamboo chinese lanterns on poles - they have a wick and you have to put kero in them...

I know what you mean, we call them garden torches. When I was a kid my parents had brass garden torches. They tended to overheat, at which point the fuel inside would ignite and they would explode. Very exciting.

oh...BB....*whimper*...I have to go to bed - I need at least 5 hours sleep before I work (pathetic I know ) - is there any possible way that the meal can be delayed? No-one else is any more ready than I am, and I really do hope that I'm speaking on behalf of everyone here when I'm asking for more time...if it *has* to be done now then...well...I guess I'll just get insomnia or something...but I really should be in bed hours ago...
