Do you know that I am dreaming in real life about this Pelican Nest and this storm???
*The ship heels over in the hurricane winds and the hot tub begins to empty... * EEEk! There goes all the hot water...

Wake up Mari-Rae, the Hurricane has been gone for over a day and
Floh just returned with Hemmingway's boat. Can you see it. It's tied up over on the Port side. Meanwhile there is strange music emanating from the bridge.

I'm in a dais! Whoops! no I'm not... I'm all woofed, gang! Here's Mote's art... you remember him? He's the guy who likes Night Music.
*Slips in the tub and bangs her head bringing her back to reality.*
Ow!
Oh look! *points* The Pilar is come!

Ah... so good to be back relaxing in a hot tub high above the deck of a magnificent vessel. (IRL I spent the week in Houston TX, where Lili was the talk of the town but failed to show up.)
The Pilar is ours!!! Magnificent! Lets go fishing for marlin. I want to sit in that lovely pivoting chair on the stern, in hand waiting to battle the giant marlin and relive the saga of The Old Man and The Sea.

*Goes pale and points at the Cuban shore where army guys are setting up some mean looking weapons all aimed at the Blood!*
EEEK!
Call the Bridge! Call the Cannon guy! Call my Mom! Call to arms! Cuba is going to Libre this ship if we don't get the heck out of here!

Not to be concerned. I am sure the good Captain and the navigator have layed in a course of evasive action and will effect our getaway cleanly. One visit to that center of efficientcy, that hive of purposeful activity, that hub of decisiveness the bridge will alay you fears. Why they even have one of those machines that goes "ping" at regular intevals.
Our best course of action is to refresh our and wave nicely to the assembled Cuban soldiers. (And just as a back up, once we have their attention we could wave this white hanky if need be.)

*Joins Archibald in waving at the nice Cuban soldiers*
Hey! That's not a hanky Archibald!
*Snatches at and retrieves her thermal vest*
Really! Do you mind? Besides my vest isn't exactly white now is it?
Why not use Mari's towel? I'm sure she'd part with it if you offered her several s...

*Fred wanders up onto the Pelicans Nest, looks around.*
Erm... Is that the Cuban army over there? Shouldn't we be doing something about that? Oh well *waves*

*Loud but totally incomprehensible instructions from the Bridge issue from the speaking tube. The Blood performs a series of course changes, some of which take it further from the coast ... some do not.*

I wouldn't worry about those Cuban military types.
This ship is equipped with the latest SEP technology.
they will very soon lose interest and decide that
we are Someone Else's Problem.
