Don't the Swedes or Norwegens or some such flog themselves with balsam or birtch branches as part of the spa experience? Those so inclined (leave me out thanks not
) could switch to Fir for the holiday season.

actually they don't really *flog* themselves. you would be amazed of the effect of simply stroking your skin gently with birch in a sauna. the sweat litterally pours out of your pores

*A gurgle and a POP! from the speaking tube as a sprig of holly is blown across the Nest.*
Aha! That's better. Tube was blocked with something or other. Now ... here's the latest ... *Checks position from chart*
Just a quick navigational update, folks .... We're at the mouth of the Spencer Gulf, and about to head into the Great Southern Ocean. Prevailing winds are strong Westerlies, so we'll be heading East. As well as keeping a lookout for Tasmania (large grey object) we should watch out for lots and lots of yachts participating in the Boxing Day Sydney to Hobart race.

Glad to see we are making progress. the sun is almost due north of the Pelicans nest now and the wind feels like it is coming from the
Se but that could change when we get further from land.

Weather Underground reports that there may be some rain over near Melbourne. Still no Tasmanian Devils to report .

Apparently Tasmainia has been coloured grey for our sail past. Likely our reputation as has procceded us and they have adopted protective colouration.

Now where did I leave that spy glass. Ah here it is.
Surveys horizon.
Land Ahoy. Tasmania Spotted 20 degrees off the Portside bow.
I better tell the Bridge.
~~Ring ring. This is the Crows nest. Tasmania sighted twenty degrees
to port of the Bow. and you're right it is decked in grey.
Of cours that could be because it it 11 PM there.
