Captain Zog, Thingite Ambassador to the little people, back from his wanderings at last Posted Jul 31, 2002
Everyone goes somewhere, lets hope it's not 'out, i may be some time' sort of somwhere and more sort of 'I'll bring a crate of ' somewhere

hi englander...
the link to NOAA on the previous page is showing current weather.
it looks as though we are in for a fine night tonight.
(the tortugas are the two little white dots at left).
so your sandcastle should be safe.
should be a really good sunset though.

...what a beautiful night it is out here...
there are no streetlights within 70 miles of here so you can see every star in the sky.
This view alone is able to remind you of your significance/insignificance in the whole scheme of things,
depending on your optimism/pessimism level.
did you see that shooting star just now ??

it will certainly tilt the balance toward the significant/optimistic
side of things...
*in the darkness accepts bottle gratefully and samples contents*
!!! kes... this must be the last of the laphroaig!! where have you been hiding this?
*looks up at that moment and sees shooting stars racing across the night sky*

kes!! it is EXACTLY one year since you joined the crew...
Congratulations Mr. Navigator Sir...
It has indeed been a pleasure sailing with you.
*salutes smartly, smacks himself in forehead with bottle and passes it back.

There's no trying to reason with the hurricane season, is there Harry? Have fun, Floh!
*Sits next to Kes and takes a swig of the laphroiag. Passes the bottle. Leans back and enjoys the tropical night sky.*

*Manages to intercept the laphroiag bottle between mari-rae and Alec. Takes a healthy swig. Observes both the night skies*

'ning campers!
looks like it will be another scorcher today out here in the Gulf of Mexico.
Probably a good day for a snorkel i think.
There are plenty of old wrecks in the area, we might find treasure.

So I don´t need all this over my little place here...
*uncovers the castle and takes a short stroll down into the dungeon, where it is nice and cool, reapearing with a bottle of good Baden-Württemberg wine...*

...indeed there are several 'pirates birthdays' coming up as it is now just over a year sinc our beloved Captain Parks first started the "Blood of the Zaphodistas' thread and thus all the others it has spawned.
Here's a handy link : F70774?thread=130423
compulsory reading for all of us pirates.
