*sets a few menhirs infront of the sandcastle....* So is the ship still anchored or not? I seem to have problems in this Where did the fog come from???
Shore Leave in Margaritaville
Coniraya Posted Jul 30, 2002
Those a lovely menhirs, Englander! We had a vey happy holiday in Brittany spotting those some years ago.
Alec, No1 son reckons there's a strong naval presence in the Fort Jefferson area (he spent 6 weeks in Florida last year), do we need to set a look out?

Caerwynn, the navy base is in Margaritaville and the Blood is parked right outside.
As far as i know Mr Shagbark is still on watch in the Crows Nest, and i'm sure we can depend on him to spot the slightest abnormality.
Of course, our mighty pirate ship is permanently in stealth mode, so we're unlikely to attract too much attention.
There is only a daily ferry that comes out here to the tortugas that is normally full of tourists.
The only fog around here is that which is brought on by not reading the backlog.

This is a ship to shore message from the crowsnest aboard the
Blood of the Zaphodistas. Message commences...."We are still anchored in the same place. Nobody has changed any of the autopilot settings. The weather is starting to get rough. I hope that tent you left is securely anchored because it looks like it is going to be quite a blow. also it is heading your way. message ends.

Bit of a blow comming? Well best to wander around the fort then. I don't imagine 40 foot thick walls leave much to worry about. Perhaps the wind will transport the tent here so we don't need to go back for it. I might have to switch from back to a
if the blow gets too wild. ;0

Folds beach umbrellas and stows them under the cabana. Closes lid on BBQ and moves it under the shelter of the eaves of the bath house. Gathers a few forgotten s, folds them and stacks them neatly by the side of the entrance to the fort. Puts on a shirt and walks down by the edge of the sea refreshed by the quickening wind and invigorated by the air.
A gathering storm in the tropics puts a edge into what is otherwise a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Soon perhaps there will be lightning, thunder and the usually calm sea will seethe and crash on the reef off shore. The palms will wave and thrash in the air and rain will fall in huge soaking drops. The roar of their fall will rival the sound of the wind and waves. The heat and humidity of the past days will vanish and clothes that seemed too warm for the climate just a few hours ago will be not quite enough to keep you comfortable. And yet after a few hours of wildness and the hint of danger the wind will abate, the skys clear and stars will cloak the heavens again with the promise of a return to the warm soft days of the Carribean when the sun rises.
