I'm sure there was one at Uruk as well, two Zuggaratts if you like, ie more than one, eg a pair of Zuggaratts!!!

There are ZIggarats all over the basin. Some believe the Tower of Babble was the White Temple, the most famous Ziggarat.

I've been thinking deeply about this
but I CAN'T get the connection between a frozen, dead squirrel, and the works of James Joyce ?
Will I wake up at 3am and suddenly shout "Of course!"

The tower of babel was more of a tower than a Zuggarat. Does this look like a tower to you

At that time, the zig was the tallest non-pyrimidal structure that could be built. The real Tower of Bable, if it exists, could not be a free-standing minarette-like structure we think of as a tower today.
The squirrel thing related to "The Doubliners." I just read the last chapter, "The Dead" for a Lit class.
