Thanks, paulh
But I was just reminded that in the Soviet Union they sold vodka in grams. if you ordered a glass of vodka they woyuld usually serve you 100 grams

100 grams is a tenth of a liter. Therefore, a one-liter bottle will make ten such drinks. Somehow, I don't think 100 grams would do a very good job of quenching your thirst, as it's only about a third of a cup.

Having just drunk some vodka ( my ma was pouring and she doesn't do small measures) I can vouch for the fact that 100grammes/ml doesn't quench your thirst - but it certainly makes you something else entirely...

I suppose a very small hippo could weigh 1,000 grams [1 kilogram].
The bigest ones would measure their weight in metric tons.
I don't think I've done vodka very much. A little probably goes a long way, which might explain why so many people prefer to dilute it with tomato juice or orange juice.

There might be an island somewhere where the baby hippos are very very small.

Vodka jelly (or jello for those who speak American) is something I'm told is popular with kids too.

Hint to the Captain - should he ever fly where the duty free is Smirnoff Lime Vodka - this is always an acceptable I find!

It is! No cocktail cabinet should be without some, and you can only buy it onboard an aircraft, which makes it the most expensive liquor I've bought so far!

Is there any way to make it yourself at home? If you mixed vodka with lime juice and maybe sugar, you might get lucky. :-0

banana's, plums, damsons, rose petals, peaches, rasberries, a lot of apples, champagne yeast and 5 litres of vodka. Wait one day strain and keep for a long while.
The magic ingredient, alcoholic ice.
