Its great isnt it. I went to visit it about a year ago. Beautiful area, I enjoy spending time there. I was staying in Aldeburgh and needed to find a lighthouse - you know how it is sometimes! I saw it on the map and have to confess to being a little surprised finding it in the middle of some houses smiley - smiley

I think my absolute favourite at the moment is near Lossimouth in Scotland. I have friends who live near there and when I visit you can see it from their house. I try and make sure that I can visit the Lighthouse when ever I get up there. It is a beautiful and remote spot on the headlands of some amazing beaches *vacant gaze appears on face* smiley - smiley

Have you ever been there?

*pours self more smiley - coffee*

Kes

No, I never visited there, I'm afraid.
Yes, the location of the Southwold lighthouse is unusual smiley - smiley ... part of its charm. There are two theories about it:

1) The bloke who put it there was drunk ... or

2) The locals are in for a surprise at high tide ....

I stayed in a cottage near there ... got used to reading in bed at night in three short bursts with seven seconds between them, followed by a gap of 20 seconds ...... smiley - biggrin

Personally I subscribe to both theories!

Do you enjoy reading in small bursts - it can certainly add to the excitement and mood of a good book smiley - biggrin
