Welcome to My Space
Welcome to my space, pull up a chair, have a cup of tea and browse through the things I am up to from the list on the left.
About Me.
My nickname on the guide is Hobbes - Keeper of himself to himself. The collection I keep is not very big, having only one item, namely me. Hobbes comes from the excellent cartoon strip Calvin and Hobbes. Hobbes is a stuffed tiger who can talk, before it all gets too weird I suggest you read the strip or review the guide entry

My cat is also called Hobbes.
I am a man just turned 30 going prematurely grey who lives in the North East of England. I earn a living as a computer engineer, but don't let that put you off. I selected computing as a career because it is a highly paid indoor job requiring no heavy lifting. In my humble opinion, the world would be a far better place if we went back to the abacus.
My interests include long distance running on distance of 5Km up to the marathon. I enjoy reading Sci-fiction, my favourite authors being Michael Marshall Smith, Neil Gaiman and Robert A Heinlein. I love listening to music of most types. I am currently going through a beige period playing lots of easy listening music by people such as Burt Bacharach.
I love to travel, some of the best places I have been to are:
- Hong Kong
- Italy - Tuscany
- Singapore
- Barbados
- Goa
- Bali
- Portugal
