All right there, one and all! How's it going? Drop into my page for rambling prose and useless (and maybe even something slightly useful) information...

Hi Arwen, and welcome to H2G2. You may have already discovered that if you click on the circular logo at the top left of the page you will end up in a paradise of H2G2 links. Thye are all either useful or fun, sometimes both. Look for the guidelines to submitting articles to find out a bit about the sort of thing H2G2 is looking for.
Or browse through existing approved articles. You could always go over to ACES area and click on one of their name to find out the sorts of things
Write in a natural style - genearlly people who try to write funny don't always get it right. Also, be careful when making comments that might be taken the wrong way - there are some thin skins around!
Why not do an article on your hobby, or where you live? Or about any interesting places near you?
Don't worry about the use of HTML etc - the subeditors and editors will sort that out. In fact, the subs will probably remove any existing HTML and redo it.
Have fun

Chop two tomatoes into ickle bits and snarl at them a little bit.
put them in a bowl and poke them a bit with a big wooden rolling pin.
Chop half an onion into tiny tiny bits and poke your tongue out at it a bit trying not to cry.
Chop a red pepper and a green pepper into into matchstick shapes "i" thus.
Chuck the onion figments and the pepper figments into a bowl and slap them a bit.
put a pinch of salt and a pinch of black pepper in.
drop a splodge of tabasco in (cheating, yes).
drop a splodge of paprika and a spodge of cumin and a corner of a bay leaf and a squeezle of lemon and cackle lots.
put half a pint of gin in.
put it in a blender and really give it some.
and now you have what is almost certainly a killer chilli sauce
