I'm not sure. Most of the entries are personal experience, or non fiction (usually both). I think there's a Bable fish entry, but use the search engine (located above) to search
Welcome Crazy Canuck

"NM strolls in, lighting American Indian pipe, filled to the brim with glowing mushrooms"
You know....this s**ts really good! Beats the heck out of tobacco!
Welcome to the "real" world, Crazy Canuck! Watch out for Monsy and 'nonnie......they tend to enjoy to enjoy their "special" goodies!
They are all right....try the the search engine, or go to the ACE'S page(I'd give you the URL, but I don't have it saved....and I'm computer illiterate!)....if you'll go to the Front Page, or my page,(or any ACE'S page) there are links!
To all you and all who have not arrived yet!.....Enjoy the Ride!

Sir Fragalot Posted Jan 29, 2000
Hi all! Another new user reporting in for duty..
Though I dove in a few days ago, I still feel a little wet behind the ears!
Could NM pass that pipe? Those glowing mushrooms might shed some light on my current brainblurb; That is, I'm wondering why aren't there any fancy plastic hologram-encrusted press badges to go with a registration as a Researcher? I figure some people would even pay money for that kind of thing, which could in turn be used to hire more editors, or pay existing ones!
Once h2g2 goes commercial, there would even be room for that good old write-up corruption! Wouldn't that make life wonderful? Or at least slightly more tax-deductible?
Rants aside, I wanted to say I'm really enthusiastic about the concept of h2g2 and the way you people make it happen! Saludos, Chris

Anyone know where to get a drink round here? I speak, of course, of the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. *mumbles something about spelling*
Fishies all round!

P.S. You'll probably end up seeing this message all over the shop by the end of the week!!

Welcome, Tatty! You could always stop by the Forum & Firkin http://www.h2g2.com/A187508 or Frink's Drinks http://www.h2g2.com/p112924 if you'd like a drink...
When you need some coffee to help you fight the "morning after" effects of the gargle blaster, stop in by the Aroma Café http://www.h2g2.com/A202924

Hi Justin/Tom, welcome to h2g2.
Since Frink's Drinks bartender has been missing for weeks, I would suggest the Forum & Firkin. And I think I'll head over there myself, now that I think about it.
Another place to try, if you feel a bit hungry:

Anyone here go by the... oops... wrong room. Can I claim to be a newbie? Relative to my lifespan I suppose I could be... anyone else agree?

Well, 6 hours into the h2g2 experience, and I'm only now announcing myself on the newbie board. How forgetful of me!
But of course I didn't have to appear here for anyone to know of my existence - thanks to that pop-up 'Who's All Here' widget, I've had 2 visitors to me page already! That's more folk than have ever turned up at any of my other clubs online.
Now that's what I call a community! There's hope for humanity yet
Be seein ya B->

Macros Posted Jan 31, 2000
a big HI to everyone, I havn't slept much in the last few days so time has sort of merged together in my mind. I think I have been here for a few days but surely I still qualify as a newbie. I thought I heard somebody shout 'here newbie, newbie' but it has taken me this long to find the source. Just to let you know everybody has been approachable, so thanks for being such a friendly bunch, keep up the good work. I better go now, I'm sure I'm supposed to go and buy a doughnut.

These are to say thanks to everybody, I got a good selection, so take your pick and tuck in, I'm going now, to catch up on sleep before I go back to work tommorow, so pass them on to any newbies that find their way here.
