Maybe we should offer a prize to the first newbie here each week......maybe something like a job at TDV?

Yes. And I'll sign on again under an assumed assumed name and claim it!

*enters softly whistling, tries to look innocent*
*reads above posting, frowns*
Hmmm, just as I thought I had a good idea, Irving beats me to it. So, I won't try to appear as a newbie either...Rats! (sorry, 'Nonnie, please don't take offense)
I guess newbies around these parts behave like it used to be back when I started at the Uni -- very slowly and insuspeciously (spelling?) close to the walls of those endless corridors...
Let's see if we can find some -- anyone got a torchlight?

msmonsy Posted Jan 25, 2000
*searches through her basket*
i don't have a torchlight but i did find some of these great mushrooms, you know, the ones that give off a green glow...they should do just as well and on the plus side they will not be so bright as to blind the poor little newbies

*Knock, knock, knock*
Is anybody in here?
Hummph, I thought that there might someone in here to help me out. So I just got of the boat from the
Colonies and I need a little bit of human warmth to get the cold Canadian chill out of my bones. Alas, there's
no one in the backhouse at the moment...humm, maybe I'll just help myself to this little basket of goodies...

*raises up from her resting spot and notices a newbie has entered*
oh my! you startled me there i've just been waiting about to see if anyone would show up and to tell you the truth i was beginning to give up
glad to see you proved me wrong hope you enjoy those goodies just be careful with the brownies, the carmel which you see drizzled on top is a bit ermmmm......well, let's just say it tends to make people a bit more active than normal

Well, this seems like a rather interesting place...for a toilet I mean... but I've never been in a toilet that had a basket
containing brownies in it either. Oh well, I guess I'm just not that cultured (being canadian and all...)

*peers up at Chuch from bottom of basket* And, uhm.. Please be careful what goodies you pluck!
Human warmth? What about soft, fuzzy, warm and cuddly?

Crazy Canuck Posted Jan 25, 2000
Don't worry, my little mousy friend, I'll be careful when I reach in for my next brownie (I'll try not to drip caramel
onto your fur either).
Please feel free to check out my rather pitifull page. Just remember that it was created today. The Canadian
Pacific Railway was not built in a day, as would say my grandfather.
So other then the pub, where to you all hang out here at H2G2?

Crazy Canuck Posted Jan 25, 2000
*takes another brownie while avoiding nonnie*

*chuckles* Type in "party" in the little search box *points up* there. I'm sure you'll find lots of things.. For that matter, type nearly anything.. music, Limericks, I Spy, Buddhist, Wiccan, couch potato...
