Although she'll probably find out ten things that she needs that she doesn't have, all in the first day of university.

She'll also find that she has ten things she will not need and have them in large amounts.

She just found out who her room mate is yesterday. Her college is pretty cool because there aren't community bathrooms. Every two dorm are considered a "suite" and they have a bathroom in between them.

I wish I was that licky. We have one bathroom at the end of the hall.

I know this one place where the bathrooms have big windows that look into the courtyard, but they closed over the courtyard and made it a cafe, but didn't cover the windows to you can see people getting out of the shower. It's very embarrassing.

One more for your list! I'm Connecticut born and bred, with only a few ill effects. You already have two of my entries listed - The Roycrofters and the Wadsworth Atheneum - but there are more with Northeastern themes. I'm not going to tell you which ones; you'll have to go and read them to find out. Sadistic, yes?
Peace,
Stephen

Stephen, is someone from New Jersey is a Jerseyite, and someone from New York is a New Yorker, what do you call someone from Connecticut?

Good question, George!
Welcome Stephen! I'll put you on the list momentarily. But only if you stop being so sadistic!
The links I have up are from searches I did. Unfortunately, people don't always type out "Connecticut" if they write an Entry about Connecticut! I think I searched for Conn as well, but I wasn't even going to try to search for CT! There are too many words with a "ct" in them, and the number of hits from the search would have been too much to deal with! I'd be forever grateful if you'd just tell me if you know of other Entries. ?

Okay, I'm a sadist with a heart of gold (not the spaceship). Here are some of my entries: I think I've forgotten one or two, but I'll add them when or if I run across them.
In general, there's one on Autumn Foliage:

One on the Citgo sign that overlooks Fenway Park:

One on Carl Andre's Stone Field Sculpture in Hartford:

I don't know if this counts, but The Nields are my favorite band, and they're based in Massachusetts:

How's that for a start?
Peace,
Stephen

I've no idea what Connecticut folk are called. There's "Connecticut Yankee", of course, but the Yankees are in New York, and are considered evil by any Red Sox fans. "Nutmegger" is another, after CT's nickname "The Nutmeg State". This comes from an old story that CT people would sell fake wooden nutmegs to gullible strangers. Not exactly a great nickname. CT is also called "The Constitution State", but that doesn't lend itself to a nickname either. Perhaps we've yet to acquire one!
Peace,
Stephen

I've never been here before 'cause I didn't think Pennsylvania was part of the NE USA, I've always considered it to be 'Middle Atlantic'.
But since you've got links to loads of my edited entries, I reckon I'd better sign up...
