We'd like to arrange a meet-up in Boston this summer. I think over a weekend is best. I personally prefer August, as July is pretty booked. Any other suggestions?

Why not? Oh, you're working this summer, aren't you? Could you get a weekend off? Hey, if you can make it to NY, I'll take you the rest of the way!

*sniffle*... see, my parents... they're a bit protective. They hardly allow me to do anything anyway, much less drive across a few states I've never been to... plus, I can't afford that little vacation. It'd be within weeks of me leaving for college, and I actually want to stay home then because all my friends will be leaving... it's just not really feasible.

Plus, it'd help if I had a car I didn't *know* would break down on the way there... or a license...

I'll be there in spirit, though.

I've actually thought of asking Clive to print out one of the pictures I sent of me and having him take that to the London meet-up... but is that a bit too corny?

I'm afraid of them. I don't know why.
Just a little phobia, I guess.

Too bad. I took a train from NY to Williamsburg, VA a couple of years ago. It was amazingly boring ...

Wouldn't it be cool if another NJ Researcher was going to go? I know that KayKay and I were talking about carpooling up ... could you get to NYC?

I've never been there ... at least not to stop for long. I've passed through, and I was there when my Dad had some surgery, but that doesn't count, really.

Boston is wonderful. Except in winter. I went with my cousin Jessica when she was in her magenta-hair phase.

She's kind of a punk, which is funny becouse I'm a conservative democrat. Just picture this: Two people walking down Newbury St; one with magenta hair, features like Janeane Garafallo, all-black clothing except for a denim jacket with badges all over it; the other wearing black pants, a black suede vest, a blue shirt with a art-deco style blue and white tie, round blue-tinted sunglasses, and short black hair. Wearing matching backpacks.

smiley - laugh I was dating a rather conservative guy when I went through my semi-punk phase ... we went to a symposium that Carl Sagan was presenting on SETI at Carnegie Hall, so I wore a little black mini-skirt outfit covered in glow-in-the-dark stars ... he wore his polo shirt and chinos. He wouldn't let me wait for Sagan at the stage door ... I wanted to ask for his autograph ... on my panties ... I thought it would be funny ... my boyfriend was a spoilsport ... smiley - winkeye
