November Greetings
It was only Thursday, but already all the leaves had fallen from the trees. The young children, with little or nothing on their minds at the moment, resurrected neglected Halloween costumes from their closets. After donning the capes and masks, the children, in a manner that needs no mention, came to be lost in the wood. This is where they played in those long, forgotten autumnal months when there was nothing better {or nothing worth mention, at least}, to do.
They, the children, in a childish manner {which was all very well and good, mind you!}, played hide-and-seek for hours {Still no one was ever found by anyone, nor were they found themselves}, but it was November and so the hours had been reduced by the fading sun, yet all agreed that the game had been most enjoyable, and thus, a success.
One child in particular, whose name is unimportant, was meandering about in his red kabuki mask looking for frogs and salamanders and other nasty forest creatures, for which to torture and torment his sister with their presences. All at once, he, in a clumsy and negligent manner, stumbled over an incongruous twig and found himself confronted by another child of approximately identical features of height and age, though whose head was that of a paper wolf.
"Note the sun." said Wolf, pointing to indicate the lateness of day, and thus they nodded and parted and went on their merry ways.
The End
{This story is based on a painting displaying two children (one in modern clothes, another in 18th century garb, both in masks) standing in a forest of red, leafless trees with an oily sunset in the backround.}

I like the idea of writing stories about what you think is going on in pictures ...

Hi!
I'm Yossarian, dweller of Wellesley, MA, hermetic philosopher and hitchhiker extraordinare. Nice to meet all of you...
I think that a Boston meet-up is much needed. New York would be fine too. Anywhere really...

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
