small issue of being extra frugal this month. but I wasn't to fussed about it to be honest. Just liek that Cold "They make the weather then they stand outside and say: IT'S RAININ'" Mountain. U.S Civil War films I find strangely unmoving.

>'s probably the whole elite warrior group with strong loyalties.
Ralph
Samurai has become an exaggerated image as an idle for men
Samurai is Samurai. There were elite worriors, but they belonged to "Samurai worrier group" Say, Samurai is a Japanese noun as worrier. And Samurai group(Bushi) must be 'Army' in English.
******
>they've all got unpronouncable names!
LOL. It's understandable. Characters in most American film in which Japanese or samurai appears with strange name, like MIKADO(Savoy Oepera).

Isn't mikado the game with the sticks?
Anyway, the Samurai have nice swords.

MIKADO is a famous opera which W.S. Gilbert and composer Arthur Sullivan made and played at the Savoy Opera in London.

Yep you love SWORDS
So you like any kinds of swords or are interested in every swords in the world?

Ralph the Wonder Llama and André the dodo; Excrement Occurs Posted Feb 19, 2004
Most swords, but some more than others. Japanese katanas are among my favourites, but 2-handed swords are cool too, as are viking-style swords, like the Rohirrim have in Lord of the Rings.

Is oi Japanese for no? I know hai means yes, and arregato means thank you!
Elite Samurai??? oi oi oi oi
kbrtiata Posted Mar 3, 2004
Thank you - Arigato(o)
Yes - Hai
No - Iie(sounds like "yeah" lol. of course not really but sounds like that)
Oi means impolite "hey" in Japanese. You shouldn't use Oi to unknown people or parents, boss... Maybe use to very close male friends or your wife.

You should use moshi moshi on them, right?
Elite Samurai??? oi oi oi oi
kbrtiata Posted Mar 3, 2004
Moshi moshi is usually used on the phone like "Hello this is Ralph"--"Moshi moshi, Ralph Desu"
Sometimes when you are looing for someone whom you have appointment on a place, but you are not sure that person is that you are looking for, at that time you may say to the person "Moshi moshi, Are you Ralph?" But usually "Anooo" "Shiturei desuga(excuse me)"
On the phone, we use "Moshi moshi" at first like "hello"

Do you really bow to the train when it arrives at a station?
Elite Samurai??? oi oi oi oi
kbrtiata Posted Mar 3, 2004
It depends on the situation.
Can you imagine (mostly old people)Japanese people bow even speaking on the phone
Elite Samurai??? oi oi oi oi
kbrtiata Posted Mar 3, 2004
As far as bow on the train is concerned, it's like 'waving' saying good-bye. Old people usually bow instead of waving lol.
