There is only 2 films of which I think wonderful his films, TAPS(very old one.) and Interview with Vampire
The Last samurai is populare here, too.
But I'm very excited that the final version of the LORD OF THE RINGS will come on screen from TORMORROW at last in Japan
How are you, then?

*shrug* That's Americans for you. You should see what they did with U
something-or-other, the one about the enigma.
Enigma...
kbrtiata Posted Feb 18, 2004
I didn't see it
Need to see it, I suppose.

That Godzilla's video is indeed for the Americans.
But this oldest one makes me think one aspect of Japanese film before I was born.
***
So you watched Enigma, didn't you?
Enigma...
Ralph the Wonder Llama and André the dodo; Excrement Occurs Posted Feb 18, 2004
No, I haven't seen it, it's just to make a point. The point being: During the second world war, a group of British stole a german coding machine known as Enigma. In the British movie Enigma, it is shown as such. In the American movie u274 (or another number, I'm not sure) the Americans stole Enigma.
ummmmm
kbrtiata Posted Feb 18, 2004
There are still maniac Godzilla fan in Japan so that new series is made still now, though I'm not keen on such kind of films
******
I feel strange that many of you like/are interested in SAMURAI.
Can't understand.
To me they were only 'loyal' warrior group to their masters...
ummmmm
Ralph the Wonder Llama and André the dodo; Excrement Occurs Posted Feb 18, 2004
's probably the whole elite warrior group with strong loyalties. The whole thing with ready to die for their masters without question and things like that.
ummmmm
Clive the flying ostrich: Amateur Polymath | Chief Heretic. Posted Feb 18, 2004
If it helps - I *didn't* go to see Tom Cruise's latest effort.
ummmmm
Ralph the Wonder Llama and André the dodo; Excrement Occurs Posted Feb 18, 2004
