Well, of course we all like Thing more too Trin, hence the name Thingites, but it can't be Thing everyday. I mean that would be nice and all, but then I wouldn't know which day to put the trash out or which day was my bowling night. Personally, I dunno. When the Zaphodistas started out shortly after H2G2's return it was a wee bit more confrontational and boisterous. (A "H2G2 is OURS - WE WILL LEAVE IF WE CAN'T HAVE OUR BALL BACK!" polemic) http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F63734?thread=102090 I think it's settled down more now. (Isn't there a printable petition or something?) I'm just a bit reluctant now to lend my support. I like to think I have a bit more faith in TPTB than to start 'campaigning' for the re-introduction of off site URL's in forums HTML and Off-site Pictures. The one and only issue I think they've got nailed is the foreign languages. One of the beauties of the former guide's incarnation was it's literal globe-wide appeal. (There is still quite strong german and danish Presence here. (*waves to Ottox*) and that I think needs to be addressed but The Towers only plead time, they can accept foreign language posts when they have BBC staff to translate them. It's a shame but I'm prepared to wait a while longer and am not convinced to don my Goo berr� just yet. But that's just my honest personal opinion - so don't be drawin' to wide a message from it. ;-) Clive. :-)
