Friday: colleagues bidet bash,
Saturday: recover from aforementioned, find replacement machine-head & new Converse (it's OK, I look young enough to pull 'em of), then visit straight mates in Thanet (probably).
Sunday: procrastinate with straight mates in Thanet.
Monday: come back from Thanet and turn up late for work.

Next Friday: skint.

Maybe some budgeting is in order.

I'd just like to make a short announcement to all fellow threadites that this here handsome fellow belongs to me. Therefore, all gay men and straight women are warned that any attempt to steal him will be met with brute force. In this case, a large pointed stick will be used to jab the offender and a largely distracting dance involving offending music will be performed. Follow this, said person will be tied down and forced to watch 8 hours non stop of TELETUBBIES.

On another note I looked at the recipe for scotch eggs... seems easy enough to make though somewhat less lovable than one would expect following Roymondo's confession...

It seems interesting... I'd probably futz with the recipe, like I always do, to make it uniquely mine... I'm thinking not totally enveloping the egg and changing the parsley for sage, among other things..

the sage is usually in sausage already so it's a good match and the idea of making it "open faced" instead of like an egg-stuffed meatball doesn't change the flavor at all... since I always make my own sausage anyway I know it would be in there... and you can always sprinkle the final product with fresh parsley just before serving..

The reminds me of a pink padlock, but that's probably down to a fixation...
