This wallpaper has been here for at least 30 years and no-one's ever complained before. I suspect it was never invented, it just grew all over the walls, in happier days, when moulds were really moulds. I remember...Oh! never mind. You one of these makeover chappies of the telly then? Feel free, feel free. Do you do toilets? We need toilets.
Your fellow Peet is over in the saloon. Talking to himself. Sounds very **stifles yawn** exciting this party business.

Pheroneous Posted Nov 10, 2000
Don't go, Mr Moniker. I was just thinking a sub-committee for subversive and bad behaviou might look good with you on it.

Be a while before ~she~ has much to say to ~you~ I'm thinking.

Wumbeevil Posted Nov 11, 2000
Yep, I think we're going to see some bad behaviour from a certain sub-committee member-to-be.
*puts on his bikini and walks around the pub holding a "Round 1" board*

*snuffle, snort, umble, awakens without a start*
um, er, yes, uh, I see.
Given Wumbeevil's stipulated gender I believe we may have a continuity problem with the term 'round girl'. But, then again, maybe not(not knowing exactly how fetching Wumbeevil may really look in a bikini, as has momentarily misplaced light sensing orb ehanchment devices).
As for Pheroneous's suggestion that jr serve as chairperson, I really must apprise the group that the banging of the gavel was my one and only effort towards order in this order(Boring Old Farts Farcical Order-Middle Aged Division/BOFFO-MAD?). So, if this meeting is to be continuously engaged (can't imagine it being continously in order-not with this lot, anyway) I will accept the appointment as chair. Otherwise, for the good of the country, er ah, democracy, er ah, humankind, er ah, beingkind, er ah, this order(yeah, that's the ticket) I must decline and abdicate said position in favor of anyone/thing more apt or inclined to be actively engaged or engaging in actively engaging engagement of engagements.
Can I be more boring? Yes.
But, not at this moment.

jr52 (ting-a-) Posted Nov 12, 2000
If the concensus should be that I be replaced as chair, I would like to offer an absolutly perfect(in my humble-snort-opinion) replacement.
Given the possible potential propensity of this august (as opposed to november or december) body, I recommend Mindspring-the sloth as the best suited entity to chair this assemblage. Mindspring, I feel, would bring just the right amount of energy and patience to any meetings requiring a chairentity, if, Lil is so inclined to lend Mindspring's presence and Titainia is so inclined to uncuddle for the requisite amounts of time needed for Mindspring's prescence here.
Then again, if Titainia is not so desposed, I suggest we allow her to come here with Mindspring, so long as she remains diffident and adoring as is appropriate for one of her tender age when in the prescence of her elders (BOFFO).
Just a thougt.

Took a while to recover from that vision of lovliness, wumbeevil in a bikini. Quite a shock though. I didn't realise that...well perhaps best to offer quiet sympathy.
No resignations will be accepted, not without a full quorum.
Quite like the idea of nominating Titania and Mindspring in their absence. In fact we could have a massive structure of committees and sub-committees without telling the participants. Then we could make them vote any way we want them to, sounds good to me! Shhh...

*Returns from her exploration of the premises having been thoroughly insulted, not to mention leered at, by the landlord.*
Me? Committee chair of the Subversives? I think not. For one thing, it's way to cold in the cellar. Besides, how can I be in charge when I'll be much too busy giving them a piece of my mind. And let me tell you, I know about subversives. They've infiltrated the PTA and they are up to no good. No good, I tell you! Why, I don't know who they think they are. No siree, not me. Right?

Pheroneous Posted Nov 13, 2000
Thoroughly bad sort that bloke, but ignore him, everybody else does. No excuse that type of behaviour! What we need is a couple of decent barmaids.
Non-acceptance of resignations covered above.
Perhaps we could organise raiding parties of subversives, to go out in the RL world, subverting PTAs and other such places. The 'Getting our own back' group (GOOB).

I'd like to join. Do you have a hazing?

Wumbeevil Posted Nov 14, 2000
*Wumbeevil bravely hides under a table, reaches up for the little "Reserved" card, changes it to "Round 2" and waits*
Hazing? Isn't the sight of me in a bikini enough?

Oh my God.
*Lil has just walked in and seen the apparition peering over his, er its shoulder at her*
*a clutch of wallpaper samples falls from her nerveless fingers and, a moment later, she follows them to the floor, in a swoon*

Wumbeevil Posted Nov 14, 2000
*After regaining control of him/itself, Wumbeevil wobbles over to Lil, and then retreats to let her breathe. He/it opens a bottle of champagne aimed carefully in her direction to bring her round. Whilst Lil is stirring, Wumbeevil tries to make amends by papering the walls with the samples, little realising that curryhouse red flock, washable kitchen vinyls with little blue pepperpots, and Nursery Tom & Jerry paper do not go too well together*

Oooh! Wumbeevil, Lil's going to be soooo cross with you!
Now, can I just see those holiday snaps again?

Springie chairman - or rather - chair unau?
Well, let her decide for herself...
...how I found my way here? Well, SOMEBODY put up an ad at my noticeboard...
..."in the prescence of her elders"...?
...and what's that supposed to mean - hey! I am, after all, 30+... and - when I'm way too busy - I feel even older!
...but then, after all, elves are timeless, aren't they? ~sweet smile~

Witty,
My kids used to roll their eyes too, and now we trade CDs. They especially like Moody Blues, Black Sabbath, Cars, Doors, Joplin, Santana, Zepplin...
