It still has a strong following with the UK caravanner as high as 55% can be seen on some sites. The motorcaravanner is just as bad. The truble is they think they look good.

Nice one, Bea
I was convinced there was an extra 'dough' at the end of 'Dey do dough, don't dey' - could just be the way our lot say it though.

=
scince = science
if they are in = if they are wearing (?)
Little Britain = Little Britain
Jimmy Savile = Jimmy Saville (link to A526141 if you like)
sea-green (although, isn't it "puce green"?) = link to green A20218718
the most gharish = the most garish
Link for "gold" - A3327103
By the way, this is a P.R. critique, and nothing to do with my scoring for The Stretcher
Well done, Bea, love this, it made me laugh

I was going to check Savile's name before posting that, sorry. According to IMDB http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0767675/ he is Savile, yet the EGE on Jim'll Fix It (which I checked first) says "Saville". Googling both gives Savile 97,000; Saville 99,200
I dunno what to suggest, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/5190418.stm
BBC News says he is Sir Jimmy Savile
I wonder if I still have him in my email contacts

No! I've been at work all day planning an entry called "The Cultural Significance of the Shellsuit!"
As such, I'm in prime position to tell you that it's "shellsuit", not "shell suit".

Sorry Psycorp! I knew there would be advantages to getting in early
That'll be why I couldn't find the guide entry that I thought I knew was there on Sir Jimmy, then! Thanks GB, I'll make all those changes shortly. And thanks for the other suggestions, I'll incorporate those too.

You've seen the terrible colour combinations on tracksuits, right?

It says sea-green, *I* suggested change it to puce green, as sea green is nice
Also, while driving in the fog tonight to collect my son it suddenly occurred to me there's another famous shell-suit-wearer, only that one was turquoise, can't recall his name, though I think he appeared on Wogan and said he was the son of God, and he used to play (a goalie?) my memory is
to Google
David Icke!

I think lightweight is one word ?
David Icke was RESERVE goalie at Coventry City FC - he never got further than the bench, but there's a link there if you want it.

I've tried to remember whether they have a special name here, but I think they're just called Jogginganzüge (jogging suits).
You hardly see people wearing them any more nowadays, but there was a time when they were all the hype. They are considered 'prollig' here (for an attempt to a translation see here: http://dict.leo.org/forum/viewUnsolvedquery.php?idThread=155553&idForum=1&lp=ende&lang=de)

Argh! I had forgotten about shell suits/shellsuits. My sister had one, which I think was mostly purple. I imagine they must have caused lots of extra sweating - they never struck me as very 'breathable'.
