shadow... an aussie shadow... and you've got snow....we're in the midle of a heat wave here...and me with my light sensitivity thing...i think i must be a creature of the night....it favours me more and is not cruel to my skin....
when we were in florida last year i almost sobbed with relief when the sun went down...cruel relentless heat....
i dunno why we like small furry creatures...they're not mine but my little girls.....i'm more into dogs, i used to bred staffordshire, english and pit bull terriers until the laws tightened....
so you can't call them cute furry little things....little gremlins maybe? they used to scrap in all seriousness at 8 weeks old sometimes
they can't help it its simply inbred, as a cat kills a bird...
anyway whats with the feet business...don't tell us you have a foot fetish...yuk..i look down all i see is my little feet...actually boobs and belly are in the way...

for Flakey Lady poor thing not being able to sunbathe or enjoy the garden with out suffering. It isn't really very easy to escape this kind of heat.
My friend has a staffordshire terrier called Toby it leans against me in some strange display of affection for me and is really really strong.Puppies are so cute,I cannot go into a pet shop ,without wanting to adopt them all.

buy more puppies [in answer to previous]
as long as i put sun cream on i'm ok for shortish spells as i said i gradually become used to the sun as the summer progresses...its something to do with my immune system but its not a great deal, just annoying...
i love the evenings in the summer and drat it ..i work 4 evenings a week so i'm rushing around in hot sweaty lab rather than in the cooling garden...lifes such a bitch...

xxxxxxxxxxxx Posted Jul 12, 2005
Oh that isn't so bad then if you can sunbathe for short spells(probably much healthier anyway)
The evenings have been so lovely,I really enjoy looking at the garden in the evening sun it is just
What do you do in the lab* ponders on your allergy to sunlight and your night job*

hello wild amethyst...
lucky you in the garden...thats the real bitch about my evening shift in the summer...just when everyone wants to relax and enjoy the cooler temps..i have to go to work..
its not so bad in the winter because the nights are boring and cold..so its very cosy on the lab then...its like an artificial little world...[a tesco extra] the photo lab runs along side customer services and kiosk..and the world passes me by....
its not an allergy as such..its a sensitivity that will overcome itself..normally it starts in the spring and i gradually acclimatise but this year has been weird...because bang..all of a sudden we are in the middle of this heat wave..a few weeks ago i was putting the fire on...
but i guess i am more of a night person..my husband is annoyingly a morning person..sometimes up at 6am...whereas i would choose to get up at 10am...

Not to sound too confusing but if this thing is about you,you you guys, then how come, or how should i say this, its pretty hard to discern who each me is referring to anyway. Kind of like "Who's on first?" Guess that means wWhat's on second, I don't know's on third, and me is in the bleacher nosebleed section.

I think I can at least provide a part of the answer to your question...
It isn't me, but as Flakey said we are just chatting in general now, though of course I am madly in love with WildA and have been since the 1600s.

Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to barge in like that. I'm new here, college student, Californian, blah, blah, blah (about self)... I'm going on a silly sort of quest to find out how to gewt there to be a robot emoticon into h2g2 smileys [:]. Or in Marvin's case, [].
So then, I take it this forum thingy is for people to talk about themselves.
which ME?Oops. Typo. Blaming ergonomic keyboard.
Thorn Posted Jul 14, 2005
meant to type out 'get', so please Omit w.
So would I still be typing it out still in the spirit of things then, if I ask you all about yourselves and i listen (still somewhat selfish. count 3i's in one sentence)?
hey ! my robot emoticon for marvin...
Thorn Posted Jul 14, 2005
what the happened? the one I made for marvin turned into a regular sad smiley within brackets. oh well. Maybe this will work instead. [: (]

Ash Posted Jul 14, 2005
I'm afraid smileys are limited to those on the list right click any and open link in new window to view them all....
I think there is a but no (but I'm wrong, there isn't)...
You are quite welcome to barge in... All appear to be welcome unless of course they start talking about me (as in me and not someone else, because I can't make those kind of choices for them)
Oh okay. thank you. I see.
flakey-lady.... you lookin' at me punk? Posted Jul 14, 2005
well i nosed into this thread thinking it was about the illness me. i have a friend with it..shes been housebound for 10 yrs now and really not helping herself...wallowing in self pity you could say..but thats enough about her because she thinks there are people living in her attic and there clearly aren't..and you may think she needs professional help, but she has made it quite clear that if they try to label her mentally ill she will sue them...
i guess we all talk about me/us all the time this thread could be a 'how are we today 'type thread... well i'm bloody hot...invested in an air conditioner yesterday....you watch the heatwave stop now because i've spent 230 sqids....
thorny guy...i hear the weather in your neck of the woods is very nice..not this horrible damp sticky sweaty heat we get here.. my brother went to west coast usa last year and found his asthma and chestiness cleared up straight away...said san fran had the best
climate.
i have to do vegas one day...doing new york in nov with graduating daughter...think vegas or canada will be next on list...when funds are sufficent
Oh okay. thank you. I see.
xxxxxxxxxxxx Posted Jul 14, 2005
*waves hello to everyone*gosh hasn't it been busy in here
Ash and I first met several centuries ago(it is a long story and we plan to publish it into a best selling book and also a multi million pound movie but casting it could be tricky)
Well your lab sounds very cosy Flakey Lady and the air conditioning sounds worth every pennyIt is so hot here , everything is taking twice the time I normally take to do it
Las Vegas and Canada sounds but New York will be fun with wall to wall shops shop til you drop trip with excess baggage penalties all round
Oh okay. thank you. I see.
flakey-lady.... you lookin' at me punk? Posted Jul 14, 2005
we're only off for 4 days...thats as long as i can bear to be away from my youngest... i intend to see staute of liberty and ellis island....empire state and times square are easy walking distance [apparently] daughter wants to go to grenwich village [spelt wrong] and probably drag me into gay bars [she is gay]
well at least husband shouldn't be too worried then...i'll be fighting off adoring lesbian new yorkers who just love my quaint little accent.
vegas seems to be very popular of late....its become the grownups disney...a load of girls from work just returned..they loved...
unfortunately my husband hates flying and hates hot places so i have problem there
he would love to go to canada so i'll work on that...
i agree we are taking twice the time to do things... me and ben were just lurching around the lab last night and hes only 28 and a fit young man...glad it isn't only me....
Oh okay. thank you. I see.
xxxxxxxxxxxx Posted Jul 14, 2005
Well you will have to pack as much as you can into the 4 days(maybe if you don't sleep it would give you the equivilent of an extra 2 days)There are supposed to be some great restaurants in the village
can picture you fighting off the adoring accent loving New Yorkers
Shame your husband isn't going with you and your daughter sounds like fun.Las vegas and all those Elvis impersonators will be
