hi
I play the piano when I can get away from uni and sing when I have the flat to myself. My favourite bands include Queen and Travis but I love most types of music - ok I'll admit it im a complete music addict. What i want to get out of the musician's guild is to be able to talk to people with similar tastes in music because my flatmates only listen to dance music and think I'm nuts!

Come on people! There must be at least 20 h2g2ers subscribed to this thread! You won't get in here! Go to where the musical action is!

Or Wall!!
I'll go and locate the code, I assume you're talking about the Musician's Guild Logo....
I've got a couple of good pics from the gig we played on New Year's Eve, which I'll send when I get home next.
Happy New Year!! Where have you been I missed you.

I was M.I.A. for a few weeks. After much prodding by a friend in England, I have returned. Gwennie, called via her puter...cost her about one cent per minute! I don't know of any such 'deals' here in the U.S., but you can't go by that, asI can't even spell 'wall'.
I was looking the over the pictures you sent before I went to bed the other night & the next thing I know...I'm dreaming about being in your band...of course...as we were about to go on, I forgot all the music, words, everything. And...everyone thought I was just messing around so nobody would give me a hint at what we were going to play! Haven't had a 'dream-mare'
like that since I stopped acting on stage!!!
The nearest City is running a Feature Story on me, I think this week-end...and I was told by the (strict) reporter to not have anything showing that might offend the readers. After taking down my sign from the frame of the front door of my cabin which read:no solicitation of any type, this includes Bible Thumpers
It started to bother me a bit. After all...this is my home. If the readers don't like me because of something they see in a photo,
what the do I care? So, as they wanted one of the piccys to be of me at MAC...I put the Pink Floyd Ladies on the screen...filled it up I did. The photographer sat down & said, "Awsome wallpaper on your MAC!" Made a new friend I did.
Thanks Bassman!
When you're safely home & need an excuse to put off a needful duty, drop me an E. I'd love to hear about the New Year's Eve gig. Last time I played at a New Year party...I vaugely remember running through back yards, for some odd reason, perhaps after a practical joke or something & discovering a clothesline is seemingly invisible at night & the ground is rather hard when frozen solid.

I don't think I need an excuse to drop you a line do I?
Now, if I'd known I was chatting with a celebrity I would have combed my hair and polished my axe!! If you can scan the article when it comes out I would be very interested to read it.
I've got some pics from New year which I can send. There's not that much to tell really. I'd managed to get hold of a pair of dungarees that Rache wore when she was pregnant and a blonde wig, so I went as her. She was dressed in a Stormtrooper's jacket and hat, and a very short black leather mini. Stu the guitarist was Angus from AC/DC, Jeff the drummer played as "The Crow" and Keith had some velvet trousers (that I gave him a while back having expanded out of them ) and a cape - very Rick wakeman. I managed with the wig for the whole of the first set apart from the last song - Keep The Faith. I need to glance down quickly every now and again to ensure my hand doesn't go it's own way, I was finding that I couldn't see out from under all that hair, even with the LEDs on the side of the neck of the Bass turned on.
At half time I changed into my old Karate suit - much more fitting attire for singing No More Heroes. (A Stranglers song - the Bass plater is a Black Belt) We threw in a couple of numbers that we hadn't ever played before as a band Paranoid by Sabbath and Whole Lotta Rosie AC/DC - rehersed beforehand in the Gentlemans's executive changing facility (The Loo) We resurrected a couple of old faves, did Merry Xmas Everybody by Slade and also The Toy Dolls' version of Nellie The Elephant. Done Dusted - thank you and goodnight.

Sounds like you got through the Eve in fine order....I know what you mean about hair in your face! Geez..So far I like your tunes.
I was in bed by 1am....damn, I'm old!! Didn't even shoot my gun at mid-night....something quiet ordinary out here in the boon-docks! I was still getting over a cold...all that hugging & kissing over Christmas....So many men....only two lips....
Of course you don't need a REASON to E - me...just thought if I could take you away from some dull task, you might just thank me.
Are you going to the h2g2 meet next week in London? I was invited...but I know better....there's a gal going that I would have to bloody my knuckles on...and that just ain't lady like, know what I mean? And at least one chap that I would have been so...er, well, let's just say, I wouldn't catch a chilll whilst sleeping.
Before The Pink Floyd Ladies...I had Chris Walken there when I clicked MAC on. He jsut cracks me up!

I fully intent to go to the London meet, shame I won't see you there, but if you have issues with others then I think you are wise to avoid a confrontation.

Hello. I play piano in real life. However, I would like to join the Guild as a player of Bagpipe or of Sur Bahar. I adore music with a very large passion and am almost constantly singing something (usually by the Beatles, my favourite band). I also love the works of Chopin. I'd love to help out with the site but, I'm afraid I'm just getting started with GuideML. Sorry. But, I might be able to help in the idea section.
