I just learned that on another thread, but thank you anyway, Jeremy. Now that I have the name for a new drink - "blushing pirate" - I just need to find the proper ingredients. I tried Rum, Campari and Tabasco, but that didn't come out right. Any suggestions?

What about captian morgans with a splash of grenidine or cinnimin schnapps? You get the stiff drink with a redish/pink tinit

Pierce the , I have a suggestion for you:
Put 4 cl white rum and 4 cl coconut liqueur into a high glass filled with crushed ice. Fill up with grapefruit juice. The very moment you want to serve (or drink) it, add a shot of something very red (red wine, Campari, Grenadine, cherry juice, it doesn't really matter, provided it's not ketchup or human blood ).
The red fluid adds a nice whirling color to the drink.
The simple version is just grapefruit juice and red wine, that tastes great!

Hey Joe, while you're behind the bar, would you mind making another two of those Blushing Pirates?
How about calling a simple plus a full BP a "Blushing Pirate Set"?

After tasting the different suggestions I hereby declare that the following is the only true way to make a "ing ":
Put 4 cl white rum and 4 cl coconut liqueur into a high glass filled with crushed ice. Fill up with grapefruit juice. The very moment you want to serve (or drink) it, add a shot of Campari.
Thank you Jeremy!
Let's celebrate: Blushing Pirates all around!

Thras: He looks like a Bond to me.
