D + 2A + 3K + V = 16
Donkey + two aardvaks + three king size bottles of Vodka + video camera = 16 year stretch at Her Majesty's pleasure..

Some of are feeling a bit clueless here Master B. There isn't much to grab onto.
Are the 'A's Aces and the 3Ks Kings? Is the V a virgin? And is sixteen the age of consent? Actually I think Livsy was probably closer.

OK, some more examples:
4V + K + D + 2A = 13
V + 3D + A + 2K = 15
K + 4D + 2A + 2V = 21
A + K + 2D + V = 12
Apologies if this is starting to look like an algebra textbook. There should be sufficient clues on site for you to solve this, by the way.

Given that the word "handicap" is in the title, and your announcement of your forthcoming project on Gambling, could it be something to do with horseracing.

Why ever not? It's one of the few languages I'm fluent in
I've been doing some maths and I think that 6K = 4V, if that helps anyone, well and good, if not, then suffer like I am

It looks like these aren't a consistent set of equations, in which case you can't assign fixed values to A,D,K,V.
You get somewhere close with K=3, V=1, D=0. Two equations then give A=3; the other three give A=8.
Or maybe I'm just crap at algebra.

We had mention of three kings and a virgin earlier - anything biblical?

There's a big wooden boat down the local scrappy, only one careful owner. Is that any use?
I think you'll also find Livzy's donkey and aardvarks mentioned in Leviticus somewhere.
