milady, i have the weapons, and i can show you them later...now, do you want me to try and get the benatees here or have you sent sir steve to do it?

*runs her fingers through her hair*

No.. I sent Sir Steve, they know him from some time back. It was best he go for them. I think this is going to be his harden mission so far.. removing them from their ancestral lands.

Can you just help me move these beds around? You men are going to be falling over each other as it is.. you will all need a little space to call your own..

*tugs at the bunk beds.. *

here *moves the beds back against the wall*

*collapses into a chair with a groan*

just give me a minute to rest and i'll take you to see the weapons

*sits on one of the bed*

Yes.. we could all do with a break.. afterall, we will be too busy for any rest soon.. *smiles.. and flops back on the bed*

*after half an hour of rest black leopard gets up*

and now milady, i will escort you to the weapons*

*they leave*

and now milady, i take my leave of you, i need a rest. i hope you sleep well!

*goes to his bed*

*walks through to her room and closes the bedroom door*

*she looks around the room and lies on the bed, looking at the ceiling.. *


Oh Paul.. what are we going to do??

*Paol appears in the ceiling, he can be seen in the cellar* Lil this is probably the only time I can do this, you are too far away to do it too often, I miss you, you will be fine, as long as I am alive I love you, stay in the castle and they cant hurt you, their is only one way they can kill me remember that no matter what you see, trust me *as he speaks he is discovered by a guard who shoots an arrow through his heart. Paol collapses to the ground, bleeding profusely, the image goes away*

*Lils screams!* P A U L!!!.. COME BACK TO ME!!.. P A U L!!!

*she lies sobbing as she remembers his final words..of love*. ...

*How can she save the people of Restite? Her lover, their King is gone... She gets up and wanders to the window.. turning off the lamp she looks out into the gloom of the Castle Grounds*

Paul! Why did it have to come to this.. you promised me nothing would go wrong..</> *tears stream down her face*

*She can hear the rumble round the Castle Walls.. *

Black Leopard!! GET UP!! THEY ARE HERE!

*She runs from the Kings apartment towards the Grounds*

*jerks awake*

what? oh...

*climbs out of bed and grabs his sword and runs down to the grounds*

*Young Ben is like beetroot by the time he and Lil arrive at the Kings apartment.*

[Young Ben] I shall make you tea my lady, that will calm you and warm you through..

NO! I don't need it now... I want you to do something for me.. come here!

[Young Ben] Pardon my lady?

*rubs his neck wondering what this strange women will be upto next*

Oh! Come here boy! I am not going to eat you! I want you to teach me how to use the sword properly. Only I can't lift that one down *points to the wall*

[Young Ben] Me? Teach you? My Lady I can't do that!

Why not?

[Young Ben] Errr.. I don't know, it just doesn't seem right, that's all.

Fiddle sticks!.. Come on get it down and we will go to the throne room, there's plenty of space in there, so we can't cause too much damage *grins at the boy*

*The page blushes and realises he cannot refuse, so he lifts down the short sword from the plaque on the wall. Lil tries it for balance, not that she knows what she is doing, only this sword feels so right in her hand*

*She puts her arm around his shoulders and together they walk to the Throne Room*

*They return from the Throne Room. Young Ben puts the short sword back on the wall plaque. Lil wanders into the bedroom...*

I am going for a shower.. I won't be long!


*She gathers her things together and unlocks her side of the bathroom door and enters. She places her clean clothes in the private dressing room and ensures both bathroom doors are locked before she showers*


*She steps into the shower, relaxing as the hot water washes her aches and pains away. Then her tears flow. Tears she would not allow others to see earlier... Now she feels the pain in her heart.. pain she knows Paul is feeling... She feels the light of his life ebbing away, so slowly..weakening him.. filling him with pain.*

*She leaves the shower and sits in her bathrobe in the dressing room until her tears cease.. Then she dresses, ready to meet the rest of the world*

*She enters the bedroom and sits in the chair near the window, looking out at the gloom that is supposed to be daylight*

For a week Lil has been wandering about the Castle and it's grounds. She has watched the men on the walls, most of them veterans.. but many are youngsters recently recruited by Sir Steve.

Sir Steve is still missing, as are the Benatee.. no one has come to the gates in more than a week.

Lil is angry and frustrated at being forced to sit and wait....

On the fifth day, she can stand no more....

*Lil has had enough of waiting, it was always one of her failings at diplomatic school. She would rather be doing something than waiting around*


Young Ben!! Pass me my sword down please.. and come with me into the grounds!

*Lil continued walking out of the apartment towards the Castle doors.. Ben the page is running behind, trying to keep up*

*General Tamaire enters the room after spending the last few days in the skies*

*makes a note of where the war map room is*

Anyone here? Lady Lil?

*Lil wanders in, not taking any notice of her surroundings. She becomes aware that General Tamaire is staring at her. She looks down and sees her clothes are spattered with blood.. she heaves and runs into the bathroom to be sick*

Lady Lil, what happened?

*Swill her face and sees more blood in the water*


Oohh... I feel sick again! *she steadies herself by holding on to the wash basin*

I have seen them stacking bodies in the road outside the village.. they conveniently lit lamps so we could see what they have done.. they even catapulted a body over the walls *points to her clothes*.. his blood, not mine.

General, I think they know Paul isn't here, that body had "Traitor" branded into it. Then most of them marched back to the demension gate.


*She heaves and is sick again*
