h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*Sir Big Steve appears in the ante-room from which he left moments earlier. He sees a gouge down the wall and remembers all that went before.*
*He steps out into the corrider and heads for the Throne room*

*an hour later sir fenrir appears in the same room and goes looking for steve*

*as he runs down the corridoor he notices the kings door is open* how strange....*goes into to battle stance* COME OUT NOW AND I WILL NOT KILL YOU....*he waits and nothing happens so he enters the room scanning for enemies*

*as his eyes move about the room he notices somthing that makes him reel back in shock* no! it cant be? in my vision *has a flashback; as you enter the room of rooms you look around you* a room of rooms? *cautiously goes to investigate* wait! they are not rooms they are t.vs, but showing into rooms and fields *as he looks into a screen he sees exactly what he didnt want to* NO! LADY LIL!!! where are you? i must get to you....*notices that under the screen there is a small sign, he reads it out* "to enter here you must go through the flying pigs" what? *rushes out of the kings quarters to find the pig grounds*

*enters and dumps his bags in a corner*

*Lil and young Ben the page enter the Kings apartment to find it in total disarray! Extra beds and bunks have been moved into the sitting room.. and the private dining room has been turned into the sitting room.. Private lockers have yet to be assigned, so all personal items have been scattered in all the available spaces*


*Lil begins to giggle at the thought of Paul coming home to find his private areas have been taken over. She walks through to what is now her bedroom, her luggage was neatly stacked in the corner.*

*She wanders through to the bathroom.. and immediately sees there could be a problem here.. she goes back into her bedroom and opens her briefcase, retrieves a sheet of paper and a pen.. writes a note and armed with stapler she puts up the notice on the bathroom side of door*


"PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS AN EN SUITE BATHROOM. PLEASE LOCK THIS DOOR WHEN IN USE, AS YOUR FUTURE QUEEN DOES NOT WISH TO EXPLAIN TO HER FUTURE HUSBAND WHO HAS BIRTHMARKS/TATTOOS.. AND WHERE!!"


*Lil laughs as young Ben blushes at her sense of humour*

Come along, let's tidy up this midden before we have the rest of them marching in with their size 10 boots!

*Ben grins back at her as he realizes who she is talking about*

*appears out of the other room*

size ten? no i'm size eleven ! right *looks at the notice*

hmm ...anyway i'm going to find big steve *leaves*

*stands up from behind a pile of suitcases*

What?.. He's gone again!.. That man never fails to get out of the way when there is REAL work to be done!

*charges back in*

Lil, do we know how long we've got before....well...before..it?

*sits down on a suitcase*

No, not really. But I don't think we have very long to prepare ourselves.

I'm sorry, but after your cousins attack, we are still struggling to return to normal... I know I am.. *sigh*


The sooner we can get everyone inside the Castle the better..

it's just i have a plan...i need to leave the castle and return to my families ancient home. i have...certain weapons that may help if the attack comes...

i will also need a detachment of men to help me to bring them back

How long will it take for you to get there and back?

a few hours although we might be a bit slower because of the weapons

*Sir Big Steve runs in*

We've forgetten to get some people inside the castle. The Benatee's are still in the forest, and Ben's still with them. Do we need to bring them in to the protection of the castle?

oh no, i'd forgotten about them! don't worry i'll pick them up and bring them to the castle after ive picked up the weapons

Yes!!... Most definitely, they must all be brought into the grounds... their women too!.. Hurry Steve!..

Black Leopard.. go... and be swift.. we need all the help we can get.


Wait!! You both need passes to get through the gates!


*finds Pauls government seal in he bureau*

I suppose I will have to find a safe place to hide this, won't I?


*Snatches up a couple of pieces of paper and writes her formal notice that will allow both Sir Steve and Black Leopard to leave the grounds on government business*
