One day Bilbo Bagins was sitting at home reading a good book (pick any of the Guide trilogy) when some of the neighbourhood ruffians got up to some mischief. Bilbo got up and grabbed a brick from the pile next to his front door and threw it at them, but missed. He proceeded to throw a lot of bricks at them, but couldn't hit them once.
The moral of the story: Bad hobbits are hard to brick.
