Cutlery - where are you located? Just wondering if we could "touch base" on the way there or back...?

Well... that day I will be travelling back from York to Aberdeen by train, but I've got to look after this friend of mine, cause I promised his parents. *snif*

Awww I wanted to meet Cut....
*sighs*
Oh well, I still have to work round the parents.
How exactly do you tell your hyper-overprotective folks that you want to go to Edinburgh for the day to meet up with a gang of people you don't know, except for through the Internet? And that you're not exactly sure what they look like. But you'll definitely find them somehow...
Ok, Claire's deifinitely coming with me now.
Next year, we are doing this next year- then I have freedom.
And wheels

I'm pretty certain I'll be there now - a friend just gave me a Scotrail voucher which'll get me a return between Aberdeen and Edinburgh for £10, so long as I pre-book before August!

Sorry to hear that you couldn't make it, Cutlery. You'll make it to the next one. We'll have a drink for you.
Hmmm.. From waht I can tell, the Fringe Festival doesn't officially open until the 6th of August.
I think I need to get me somewhere to stay... 8:30 am for the first train home might be a bit rough..

Well I sort of followed Abi and the heavens opened. But Abi isn't coming to this one so I have no idea.

Well, we will just have to think of something.
The train station is close to hand! Or McDonalds, or er something!

I was just reading all this, sulking that I can't afford to travel over (big angry bank manager) when I realised that as I have a job interview tomorrow I might just be able to do it. So I'll just keep an eye on the plans, and start working on the parental units (even at my age when you're living at home, their word is law!!)
Keep fingers crossed for me guys!!

Woo-hoo!
I love my parents
I can come! They're even giving me a lift in.
Put me down as a definite. I'm so so so so there.
*pause*
Ok, I'm not always this hyper...
