A virtual gym/health club would be so much more comfortable than the RL version.
I prefer bike riding and aerobics to in RL. Granted, I haven't done either nearly enough lately.

a VL health club that would make you loose kcal..
I have this vague fear that you'd end up with huge muscles in (two, four, ten) fingers used when typing..

Maybe swapping the desk chair for an exercise bike would help. The local health club has exercise bikes with internet access. The catch is you have to keep pedaling or the connection breaks.

Imagine explaining to the doctor where the head injury came from: Well Doc, I was doing ten mph in the living room when I hit my head on the table, because someone posted a really funny joke...

Much empathy for your .
I work in a natural food store. Some days we get some really eccentric questions. "Do y'all sell them pills that make ya feel better?" was one of my favorites. Next to that would be, "I want to return this product, (a 30 day regimin, for beauty) because it didn't work.".

let me guess.. correct answers were:
"no we don't sell these pills; that's illegal"
and
"you're absolutely right.. didn't work"
Famous quotes from my :
"you broke your toe doing WHAT"?? ..(nonono.. harmless and civilised swimming)
and
"and what do you think I can do about that"? .. "arrrr.. cure it"? .. "Ah, no.. I cannot do that" .. "why not"? .. "cause I don't know what it is" ...

My co worker answered the first question with "Do I look like we sell those kind of pills?". The second customer received a full refund...no questions asked(the customer is *always* right).
Swimming?

and no one to blame it on either...
In spite of having sprained every finger at some point or another, the only thing I've ever broken was the pinky on my left hand. Would you believe I was playing volleyball at the time? I volleyed and the ball hit my hand just right. No one believed me it was serious until the next day.

volleyball is known to break fingers
(I hit a metal pole under water.. hard.. next morning I couldn't get my shoe on.. and I couldn't walk.. so I drove barefeet on my bicycle to the local )

You didn't by chance ride your bike into the doctor's office?
I'm not sure I can explain how I sprained the rest of my fingers...one incident involved a softball(misnomer). Another incident involved a brick wall that didn't yield. The others were mostly from an extracurricular activity while in Highschool, only I don't know if it would translate as it seems to be a purely American thing.

I'm sure I had the right of way, but the wall was pretty adamant. Actually, it was on a playground and someone threw a frisbee to me and the wall sort of got in the way...
Amazing all of that didn't cause permanent damage.

and all of a sudden a massive brick wall appears.. blocking your way..
but officer.. I never saw the wall approaching .. and it didn't have any lights on
Never mind .. recognise that.. (friend of mine crashed his car into a tree.. he said the tree just crossed the road.. after about five confused minutes we (pub) found out that it was during a fairly heavy storm and the tree did indeed cross the road .. crashing down, crashing the car as well)

Your friend is very lucky not to have been seriously injured. I must admit, storms are kind of interesting to watch.

we spent an interesting half hour reading the insurance report. It stated what parts were damaged. We found that the left rear reflector was probably still undamaged
Thunderstorms are great to watch.. in mountain areas even better &
