*opens glue and sweeps up pieces...*
I gave up making promises for Lent...several years ago.
For the first time in a few months I went shopping for dvds. Kind of wonder how long it will take me to watch The Holy Grail and the first season of Bullwinkle(the moose). It hurts to that much.

I remember first time I saw The Holy Grail... people around me almost called for the ambulance.. I hardly survived the first five minutes I never really understood why I was the only one rolling on the floor..

The dvd comes complete with English subtitles and subtitles for those who didn't really like the film...
The Flying Circus aired here for the first time on the (educational channel) opposite the Muppets. That was a tough decision. When I was about fifteen it was airing again in a later timeslot, opposite three channels of news. My parents didn't quite understand what was so funny on the 10 p.m. news.

I usually watch television(videos) while cooking or doing housework. Red Dwarf videos are a great diversion for housework.
Otherwise I prefer reading or drawing for amusement. Last night I spent an hour arguing with a publishing program... I'm not sure if that was a substitute for entertainment or exercise.

Red Dwarf! great! the first few seasons were absolutely great!
and as for tv.. I've two kids 17&18 so:
1: I don't get to select the channels
2: the channels that get selected are
3: the programs are worse than boring

The local PBS channel(educational channel by day/BBC America by night) was airing Red Dwarf in order a couple of years ago. I taped all 8 seasons.
I don't have children, only and room mate, and they have their own televisions...

Mauve Alert!
More red than a Blue Alert, but not quite as red as a Red Alert...
Much funnier than Saturday Night Live....

ah.. great shows
I miss the discipline to tape a full series of whatever.. oh well..
I probably cannot make the time to watch any tape at all

VCR timers are wonderful gadgets. One of these days I'll be able to burn all those vhs tapes to dvds.
Much rather watch something I enjoy than endlessly flipping the dial. At that point I just turn off the t.v. However, my room mate will flip the dial and fall asleep with the t.v. on(just about every night).

a vcr timer .. yess... I know.. point is that I remember to set these ing things late at night when next morning I'll get up early & leave for a few weeks.. no point in setting up timer devices or even load the machine with 6 or so tapes (can you do that??? ... no!)
By now when I get a chance I like to sleep with the tv on.. usually by then someone comes home and turns it off or changes to a music channel ... a loud one ...
