Do you show a future employer the grades from each year, though? If you're going for a job in the UK, even if you're 50 or something, they will ask you for your GCSE results, plus A-levels if you did them.

Surely you know which results 'matter'. I wouldn't bother revising much for something where you just get the result and never hear about it again.

PEDANT WARNING!!!
It might have a significant EFFECT on the interviewer at the college you apply to , but the grades won't AFFECT your chances of success as much as a well-written letter . . . .

The dreaded "PERMANENT RECORD" starts in Ninth Grade. The core classes (English, Math, Sciences, Social Studies,) matter the other stuff only counts toward the GPA. Transcripts are sometimes required...
There are also ACT tests and SATS and ASFAB... Which I can explain if you really want to know...

On a slightly happier note!!
We had an extremely yummy Gumbo tonight (Chicken & Spiced Sausage variety) following the recipe found on the Emeril Lagasse site you suggested the other day!
Found the recipe for King Cake on the other site you suggested, due to family allergies it will have to be modified slightly but looks promising.
Sitting here with a glass of Pinotage and test-driving a newly-acquired filter machine while working on a story . . .

That sounds like a good !!!
It is a shame you don't get Emeril's show in the UK. His favorite line is "It's a pork fat thing...you wouldn't understand" and BAM!!!
What are the allergies? Spelt works to replace wheat.
Another suggestion: Tabasco sauce recipes: pepperfest

Hi, Evangeline!
Anything involving either cream or cream cheese, unfortunately, is likely to cause allergy problems - however, a quick search om EL's website produced alternative recipes which DON'T contain these ingredients, so it looks as if we can attempt it anyway

::stirring fire outside to keep the tent warm, cooking some chili for later and cleaning up the tent in case any one drops by....
::Wondering if anyone would be interested in a Mardi Gras party::

Who needs an excuse for a PARTY?
I'm at w**k for the next hour or three, but if Dreamweaver is online she's got a Swedish alternative recipe instead of PANCAKES which is traditional over there, she's never made it for me before but it sounds very VERY and maybe you'd be interested ??

My fancy dress will have to be and I can be Fastelavn.
Danish children have something similar to Trick or Treat on/around Shrove Tuesday.
If I try to write the text of the song they sing, the Mods will probably "have it away" (as happened with the Lucia-song).
The translation into English doesn't 'scan' very well but is approx:
Fastelavn is my name
And I want some cakes
If I do not get some
Mischief I will make

I think I will dress in a purple outfit, but with a feathered Mardi Gras mask. Gold accessories and of course, beads...
Could we make a float??? We will need music and someone just has to wear a jester hat...

We could make a float out of cardboard boxes and a quad bike which has, miraculously, gone completely unmentioned so far, parked at my Pitch. I'll just go and get it.

We have float in the making. A King and Queen of the ball/party? or is that too much...Could we maybe be listed as the Krewe of H2G2? Who would we have to ask??
Key: Complain about this post
