*Espharoth spots the cave entrance, waddles toward it carrying empty bucket singing to himself: "Show me the way to go home . . . ."
Dribbling, slightly , weaves through entrance and collapses in a heap. Burps and a distinct aroma of 'Dunderglögg' permeates the cool air. *

Surely you've met Espharoth's cousin, Idrys? He's a Red Dragon with a superb voice, mascot of the Welsh Rugby team and close friend of a steam engine called Ivor

Welsh Rugby? He can't sing then. I find that, as soon as anyone enters a sports stadium, their singing voice deteriorates into a shouting voice.

Don't need asking twice
This campsite has been in a semi-permanent state of almost-party for some time now, so a party sounds like we're "branching out" [that was too obvious to resist!!] in a new direction ....
CU later on this evening

Somehow, I get the feeling we'll be in semi-party mode until there's only one person visiting the campsite. It's just that sort of place.

i also think that the map is a great idea, just decided to read your whole posting to find out about it. i looked at the map already there, how is it that the map can be utilized? can there be links in the picture to the pages for them, i saw the fish pond, is that the same as our fishing pond?
if that is so, then there is a link from that to the campsite.
i hope that your idea works out

There's a map there? They've gone and sneaked it in without telling us!

I've had a look at the map and it is a bit rough and ready. It also still doesn't include the Campsite. In fact, I'm not absolutely certain what it contains.

it had a fish pond which i was saying that i did not know if that was the fishing pond or not. i could not find many links earlier, it was all a hypothesis

There are a lot of places in h2g2, very few of which I could find on the map.

Hi, I'll give a hand...
Looking back at this thread reminds me of the map idea. I've got a new plan, and that is to write an article for the h2g2 Post about the Campsite, and ask one of the artists who work for that to draw us a map. The map will get blobbed, put on this page, and hey presto, it will be here.
This probably won't happen for a week or so, but in the meanwhile has anyone got any ideas for what should be on the map?
My list contains these things:
Tikki Hut
the Toilet/Shower Block,
the Fishing Pond,
the many pitches
the camp shop.
campsite noticeboard
galen's tree
anything i've missed?

Yeah, love to help out with the map if I can!
Don't forget Espharoth's cave, near Pitch 7, just off the main car park
