I'm not really here Posted Aug 25, 2006
"How many people are likely to be going from da' south?" Well, I'm still on the possibles list and coming from down south, but by the sounds of it if I can make it it'll be in the camper so I can sleep outside on the street. :D I won't know until nearer the time because I don't know how J will settle into school or react to me going away two weekends running. If I do make it, there will be two of us.

In that case you'll *definitely* be in the van - I can't find room have anotehr couple - singles are easier to squeeze in here and there.
Time to turn up? Oh, I don't know. Shall we aim to be at the town hall for around 1300?

What do we reckon? Do all those staying at mine want to go there first, so you can dump sleeping bags etc?

I'm probably catching a ride with FM, but yeah, be good to drop bag off before the festivities begin

Well, 15 minute or so walk to the Town Hall, so how about aim to leave 1230, that gives us some buggering about time.

Fair do's. I'll attempt to arrive at about 12-ish then.
I say, this is jolly well-planned by Meet standards, isn't it? There's still a whole month to go.

Well yeah, but I'm away for two of the preceding weeks, so we've only actually got two weeks of planning time. Not that much planning's needed.

Let's see...
Drive, drink, talk crap, sleep.
Yep. My plan's pretty complete.

Any veggies coming? Tough. Breakfast in my house is bacon sarnies. You can have bread and butter, if you like.
Does anyone fancy a pub crawl on the Friday night? Just a little light amble round the better real ale houses on Burton.

Phil Posted Aug 25, 2006
I am considering travelling down on friday afternoon. Might be a bit easier than getting up very early for the bus trips on saturday morning.

That's a good point. You're welcome to stay the extra night, anyway. I'm thinking
Cooper's --> Devonshire --> Bridge --> Whistle --> Hanbury
For a little stroll around.

If it's OK I'd like to blag a lift up - even if just to stop 2legs peeing out of the window.

We're due to touch down in Kegworth at 9.15, and yes would love to dump sleeping bags etc chez Kerr firstly before heading to the piss-up in a brewery-cum-town hall.
Crash space wise - if there are more soft Southern nancies coming, and they want to B&B, then I volunteer us to join them so it's not such a tight squeeze at Meet HQ.
We also have to catch a lunchtime flight home again on the Sunday...
We snore. We smoke. We can make tea. Umm....forget what the other house rules were. Something about a big dog.

We're definite definites Train tickets dropped through my letterbox today.
Destined to arrive at B-O-T at 14.33 or therabouts. They'd better not've run out of cider by the time we get there, unlike the Great ()British Beer Festival. ( to all you CAMRA buggers)

Cracking news
Right so then. LS - a 0933 touch down should give you bags of time to get to mine for 1200.
SLG - goodo. Give us a ring when you get to Burton and we'll start looking out for you.
Err, anything else I missed?
