*Pushes her hand up next to the netting to try to guide the antelope around to the opening.*

[S] It /is/ cute...

*The antelope sticks out a very long tongue and licks the major's hand carefully before sliding along the netting poking its nose at it*

*They reach the opening in the netting.*

[DF] Are you sure this is a good idea?

[S] No- in fact it's probably a very bad one.

[DF] Then why are we doing this, again?

[S] Because we can.

*The antelope finally finds the opening and pushes its nose into the major's hand. Turning to the doctor it flutes quietly and nods a bit before sniffing him, sneezing and then butting at Scandrea's stomach*

[S] oof!

*She sidesteps and pets the antelope absentmindedly.*

Where are your parents?

< gee-wizz you set up a thread, get your guys there, get some goa'uld involved, walk away for a week...the whole place is over-run by giant low gravity spiders! Sheesh! >

*Nuge looks confused, but stands back*

*Looks at Nuge while trying to keep the antelope from occupying the same point in space as she does.*

[S] Man, where were you?

*The antelope turns to Nuge, glares slightly before rubbing its head against Scandrea's thigh and watching the two officers*

[Dr. Felsner] Our camp was overrun by spiders adapted for low gravity, apparently the dominant predator on the planet. We retook it, but this little guy here got separated from his herd, and seems to have adopted Scandrea as a temporary mother.

*He walks over to Scandrea and pats the antelope on its head.*
