Well they do say, we're out here to learn.
For now we need to find out as much as possible about how these people live and eat. Then we'll need to work out what they need and how we can help. But it is possible that they won't even want to talk about that tonight, at least not directly.

*frowns and taps her fingers absently on the side of the sink.*
I guess we'll cross that bridge if we come to it.

Well, I suppose we'll find that out in a short while. That's one problem I find with off world travel: Different races have different food needs. Needs here, not tastes. I wonder just what it is, too.
I think any preparedness we have would be an asset here though. Can't go in to a banquet and be immediately rude by our suprise. Let's try to put together what we know of these people. Maybe think of some questions we'd like to have answered ahead of time.

*nodds*
Well we know there's a famine, which mean's there's a shoratge of something here.
Our first question could be what's missing and where does it usually come from?

*The faint sounds of an angry argument can be heard from an adjacent room. Moving back one of the tapastries reveals a small gap in the wall, through which two people can be seen arguing furiously about something...
[1st] : We are too slow! We must take now! They will soon realise we have no need of their food and they'll leave and your plan will have failed!
[2nd] : You stupid youth! We must be patient, we must make them at ease. If we take now there will be no more. We must be sparing and unnoticable! Why can't you see this?
[1st] : Raf-kkir is correct! You are perhaps losing your sense in your old age. You should not be High Resourcer! *voice raises in anger* Move aside and let younger blood and energy form our society!
[2nd] : You FOOL!!
*The second figure grabs the first by the shoulder and pulls him closer. The first sags and droops as he is drawn closer, the second's eyes becoming wider and his face taking on a flushed and hungry gaze. The first becomes limp as the second continues to stare into his face and grip his shoulder, before screaming and thrashing uncontrollably but weakly. The first suddenly releases his grip and throws the second away from him, a look of triumphant evil on his face*
[2nd] : You would do well to remember your place.
*He stalks out, leaving the first person to curl up on the floor groaning*

I'm not leaving without my gear. Is everyone still armed a little?
*glances around at the team*

*Arthur shows the concealed pocket that contains her zat.*
[Huan] *looking around* With all due respect, ma'am, it looks like I'm the only honest one in this bunch.
Don't worry too much- I'm special ops. If I'm not armed, I can get armed very quickly.

*grins* Ok then.
Now let's try not to get into much more trouble if we can help it, alright?
*crosses to answer the door.*
