"Yeah hi, I'm really sorry about the delay, I'll be there in ten minutes I promise. Just give me time to check major Scandrea's leg and then I PROMISE I will come to the Mess. I don't care if there's an explosion and people's arms fly off...I'll be in the mess, promise"

*The phone goes dead in Prof's hand and the ring tone sounds*

*Kat whooshes into the Mess and accidently thumps into the back of an airman's legs*

Shoot sorry! If you want, come down later to the med bay and I'll be happy to take a look at your leg and give it a massage if it's bruised *she winks before turning to find her medics, locating them she wheels across*

So guys, sorry for keeping you waiting. As I said before...refresher courses. I reckon they wouldn't hurt and it would certainly keep you occupied. Because you're attached to the offworld teams as well as me you have to cover both basic courses, which means I'm assuming you aren't getting much time to train in either properly. I believe major Fretts will be running offense and defense training in the near future and I'll be getting up some mock casualty scenarios too. How does that sound? Also how are you both doing? Fitting into the base fine? Making friends? Time schedule okay? I want to be sure you aren't being held back in any way.

< if you and the other medical personell want to go and do your own thing offworld, you know have senario's mock battles please feel free, I'll see if Bubba wants to play if that's ok with you, let him and Nuge set up battle conditions, let me know if you approve>

[S] Yeah right! you know I can't do that! Anyway, I've got a neat assignment that I need your help on- moon rock petrology. You up for another gate jump?

*Drawing on napkins, they work out a strategy for field work.*

*Kat glances at the two geologists before turning back to her medics*

*grins* keeping me on my toes eh?

Well I wouldn't want you getting bored.
If that sounds good to you then I will have a word soon with Major Fretts and see if we can do some off-world situations and get in some volunteers to be casualties. I've never seen such a place for dramatics so I'm sure we'll have people to do it

*she laughs before rubbing a finger across her eyebrow in a slightly tense way and then smiling again*

*The geologists finish and leave, still rattling on about lunar tectonics.*

*nods his okay to Kat*

*Wanders in grabs a mug of and a slice of chocolate cake and sit's next to Kat*

No not at all colonel ma'am. I was just talking to my wonderful medics about sending themon refresher courses...perhaps you would care to be a volunteer in a medical disaster? Anyway this airman has just joined and has come for a medical in the Mess Hall of all places. This is obviously what they are teaching them now! *she laughs*

That sounds like a good idea which I will leave in your capable hands Kat, if I have the time I will be a volunteer for you, I understand Major Scandrea and her team are going offworld, would you like to send one of your medic's it's only a geology mission so a medic is not compulsary only if you think one of your team needs offworld experiance
