*flops down on the couch*
Gimlet please, Matina.
l spent today stringing Christmas lights while listening to the Supreme Court audio broadcast. Got rather surreal, really...
l wonder when we can expect a decision. l personally am hoping that, as the Florida/Republican/pro-Bush lawyer couldn't keep the names of the Justices straight as he addressed the Court, that the ruling will be made in favour of Gore, out of a fit of judicial pique...
ln additional news, l discovered today that my first choice college is looking too expensive for me, so it's back to searching...sigh...
'Nother please, Matina.

*Cackles of manic laughter are heard from down the stairs, and are quickly followed by Affy, back from his long span of weeks without much internet access. He is carrying what looks like a large Trigonometry book, and being followed by what appears to be a small alligator with a calculator for a head and a bit of graphite on the tail. Affy, grinning like a maniac, rips a page from the book, and tosses it on the floor. The Calcu-Gator, as it reads on the side, quickly glances at the page, does some computations, marks all of the correct answers on the page with its tail, and then swallows the paper whole. Affy suddenly realizes that he's in the Atelier, and a confused expression comes across his face*
Hmmm, must've gotten carried away again. Sorry if I interupted something. Shouldn't be online this time of night anyway, what with midterms being a week away.
*Picks up the calcu-gator, and wanders back down the stairs*

Well, ARDP has got to be ARrive DePart, and RDO might be Rest Day Off. And on the other two dates you change into a DorMouse.
Earlier this evening I was here catching up on backlog. Even as the page was downloading it began to change skin. I wound up with the message, tree and lower part of the goo, and the top part in alabaster -- asking me to register, of course. I've never been alabastered halfway through a page before.

Lil, lots of strange things seem to be happening. For me the top half of the page (the ads and buttons) often refresh themselves for no apparent reason.
Thanks for clearing up the abbreviation riddle. Matina, a piece of finest NZ chedder for Lil please.

The top always refreshes for me... I always enjoy the new ads, when they first come out... but after seeing them 10 000 000 times, it tires

*fascinatedly watching quite new sort of h2g2 trouble - shifting identities from one forum to another*
Odd! I KNOW I logged out of that identity, and registered as myself - but suddenly I felt myself turning into Noticeboard again - rather like Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde...

Knowing my luck, if these changes happens to me I'll turn into a Young Conservative
As to my hols, I have another week and a half of this nonsense before going North, where I have four days over Chrimbo at my parents, which should just be long enought to go through my sisters World Trip photos *Woo Hoo* Then I go to Glasgow to get in training for Hogmanay. On that thought, what do the various peoples here do for New Year, quite possibly the best Scots invented holiday First Footing? Getting Crushed in a public square? A wee dram after midnight and then to bed?
So B-17 I hope your pain subsides and, if I can carry a memory from one forum to another, are you going to make it to Glasgow?
