Mmmf.
CC: l'm applying to Reed College in Portland Oregon...the school with a green 1973 MG convertible buried under its library, a thriving cult of lawn ornament worship/theft, persistent rumours that it is being run by Communists, and with a nuclear research reactor in its Psychology building.
lt's home
l applied last year, but my app was late and l didn't get in, so l'm giving it another go...
Funnily l was also looking at USC last year. l've decided l'd really like Reed, though. l'm doing early-decision, so if it falls through this year as well l'm looking at applying to Hampshire College in Massachusetts and Eugene Lang in the Village in NY. l tried applying to St. John's College last year -- now that's a unique academic experience -- but they've taken a considerable dislike to me, and told me not to apply again, so there you go.
*sips tea thoughtfully*
l wonder if anyone has a mental image of me...

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Dec 11, 2000
...very short blonde hair, small ears with lots of piercings. Strong eyes like Annie Lennox ...
I knew the Professor was going to look good-natured, and judging from the drawings, I think I'm right.
CC, what I do with my tintype cadavers is scan them, put them away, and then work on the digitised image. I've come to see it not as prettification but as information retrieval. The restoration enlarges, clarifies and de-smudges the subject and lets you appreciate historical detail. Mark Osterman of Eastman House is the one who calls them cadavers -- it's his term for dark or damaged tintypes. Up there in Rochester, they literally dissect them. Me, I try to revive them. I am getting mine from eBay.

Odra: a somewhat lost person, with a pencil behind her ear, a walkman attached to the hip, a shirt that says either "I'm with stupid" or "better off"... a somewhat bewildered, tad superior look.
Lil: a woman with a nice, sort of bowl haircut, black, with whisps of silver. Karate stance, t-shirt stating "I wouldn't vote for a son of a bush", over which is a kimono with a western motif. Also, has an atache case with a laptop, a foldable easel, and a map of New Mexico.
Looney: Merlin, from Disney's The Sword in the Stone (when he comes back from Bermuda).

Well just finished for the day
Spent most of it trying to get perl to do what I want it to do to get some nice stats from our modem racks. The script is there now, just some bells and whistles to add
