Not sure I actually make new year resolutions, more a case of making them when I think of them.
Like next month I'll be trying to go vegan, and cut down on drinking days.
Going to be hard though as there's a running club starting up at the brewery, a homebrew competition being held there, and I seem to have found my way onto a Camra committee again smiley - erm

I haven't finished my New Year's restitutions yet anyway smiley - blush

I cut down on my drinking days sometime in August i Think. No alcohol from Sunday night till Friday morning. And I've only made very few exceptions from that rule smiley - angel

I will however park this rule somewhere safe if I make it to Manchester this summer smiley - biggrin

Lots of breweries and lots of pubs.

There's also quite a bit of rain smiley - winkeye

I remember the pubs. I remember the rain. In that order. Probably because I spent more time in pubs than in the rain smiley - biggrin

But Manchester is one of the few places I've never visited a brewery in - so far smiley - whistle

In the one mile stretch between Piccadilly and Ardwick stations there are currently six breweries brewing.
There's another two having the kit installed, and another two who'll be getting their kit hopefully by the end of the year.
There's also rumours of yet another two.

That's just one small stretch, there are other breweries on the edge of the city centre too.

Mol - on the new tablet

I'll be in Manchester tomorrow - but only for about half an hour.

I have a new phone and a new tablet. There was a bit of tech-induced swearing, and the predictive text keeps catching me out. But I'm getting used to it.

Terry Wogan has died smiley - sadface

Speaking of breweries I was on a guided tour around our local brewery the other night. The brewer himself showed me around. This was odd for two reasons: The brewer died a couple of years ago and a few years prior to that the brewery was torn down to make way for new houses who still haven't been built.
Suddenly I realized we were not in the old brewery but in a new and secret one he had built in his private residence. This was also odd because I knew his house was quite small - but this brewery was enormous!
And when I took a closer look at the brewer it turned out he wasn't the man I knew. Instead he was Victor Borge!
And then to my huge disappointment I woke up. Having Sir Victor as a tour guide would have been splendid! But alas smiley - erm

Here. Made it myself, beeswax and olive oil and marigold petals.
I suggest you use this before you put the blues trews on.

Oooh, even better!

*holds out her hand, encases the tub in a bubble and sends it magically to her extra-dimensional storehouse*

I have begun going through the backlog and discovered that I now have the option of a crocheted, form fitting rainbow colored unitary with Peruvian style hat which I think would go really well with the wings. But given it's crocheted, I may need the jar anyway...

As for non-resolutions, I suppose it's the usual less chocolate nonsense. Given my consumption today, that's going as well as always.

Hmmm, speaking of smiley - choc I just found a nice jar of smiley - choc spread the other day. Even better than Nutella and with crunchy almond bits in it smiley - drool

Also more expensive so I may be able not to overeat it

That spread sounds delicious, smiley - pirate!

My latest therapy thing is ugly knitting. Shapeless things without patterns, using only the cheapest yarns. Keeps my hands busy, and my mind off. V. useful. So far, hand warmers, tiny scarf, crazy winter cap, headband (instead of winter cap, not for sportsing).

And I have succumbed to the vice that is flicks on the net. So much to see, although several of the series that I wanted to see are not currently licensed for Sweden (or even available anywhere). Goes well with ugly knitting too.
