I have been completely unable to resolve to not point and laugh at the Squatters With Guns at the Malheur Bird Sanctuary in Oregon. Even though they're doing some real damage to the conservation efforts there.
May they continue to receive bags of toy dicks!

I completely forgot to mention that Freddie is retrograde. In fact, I launched this thread while he's in the building.

The creator of Cards Against Humanity sent Y'all Qaeda 55 gallons of lube to go with all their dildos.

We have had snow in the middle of England!
After I had driven very cautiously to the next village to take Nod to work at 7am, I did all the prep to get today's stew cooking in the slow cooker. Osh won't eat stew - he says it's 'medieval food' - so I'm calling it beef in ale. Hopefully the re-branding will work.

The rebrand worked for the restaurant industry! Steak & Ale pie, with chips, pudding, etc, etc, is just stew these days with the amount of veg in it.
Morning folks

No resolutions - no non-resolutions here. Right now I'm contemplating a walk in the snow and sun....good to be back.

I am still waiting for snow to fall which was forecast for London, The Thames Estuary and Greater London.

Yes, Lil, I suppose I am, although for some reason I think hotpot when it's lamb, and stew when it's beef. But both are mostly vegetables. It's not often I cook with turnip and I even went to the trouble of peeling lots of shallots, which is loads more work than cutting up a couple of onions and not something I'll be doing again in a hurray.
Anyway, the prospects aren't good. Both Nod and Osh have screwed up their noses asking what the awful smell is. And obvs I had to tell them it's dinner ...

Rebranding food:
My local British pub (in Galveston county, Texas) occasionally has something called "Drunken Chicken" on special. I'm convinced the proprietor from Weymouth just can't admit that he's serving Coq au Vin in a "British" themed pub.

*Sniffed out Milla's Irish coffee from a long way away, and resolved not to find out where it came from*
Broken that one already I guess.

Welcome back, eats!
We're on lockdown. A man and woman, working as a couple, have been systematically ransacking patients' rooms, stealing cash, jewelry, computers, smartphones, and anything of value. My room is well back and down a side hall, but I almost wish they would just try to rob me.
These hands are licensed to kill, you know.

That sounds horrible Lil. What are the manager, staff, police, insurance companies doing? And how could the couple manage to get into so many peoples rooms/flats at all? Imposing as volunteer visitors?
To the origional question about my non-resolution. I DO have a very long to-do list I've dragged from 2015 to 2016.

There is something infinitely despicable about people that prey on the vulnerable. I hope they get caught.
