It also needs a studio on the toop floor, with skylights...

Wouldn't the Top Floor be where you'd put the observatory dome? Or is that in another tower?

That threw me a bit, seeing an online TV ad for 'Lorde - Pure Heroine'
...because I first read it as 'pure heroin'
Following the blog of Swedish author Fredrik Backman I recently learnt that his book 'En man som heter Ove' is to be published in English in the UK and the US later this year under the title 'A man called Ove'.
I enjoyed reading the original Swedish version a lot - it made me nod in recognition, smile wickedly, laugh - and cry.
It isn't epic - on the contrary, it's rather down-to-earth in a every-day kind of way. I used to think it was the essence of being a specific type of average Swede, but if it's been translated into English, I'm thinking Ove is a stereotype recognized in not only Scandinavia, but also other parts of Europe.
The French cover is looking a bit gloomish though. Yes, it'll be released in a French version too.

Hello again all. I've been absent a while I know. I was prompted to return by the interesting news that BBC Radio 4 Extra are going to be playing an "adaptation of Douglas Adams's cult science fiction comedy series." http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03v379k

{Although he wasn't there a minute ago, the fool makes his presence known by standing, in such a way that you might imagine he had been a statue for many years. He pulls off a fingerless glove, revealing it to be virtually palmless too.}

I normally keep my running journal over at the h2g2 running club, but I've just done 10k in 1:00:43, which is not only the first time I've managed 10k in a training session, but is a personal best time!
