Thanks Eats, but this is sort of the end result, not the actual ongoing action.

It was the funeral today of my friend who died on the 3rd. We've given him a damn good send off. I won't bring the mood of. The atelier down with all the details, but I've posted about it in my journal for anyone who is interested.

*chews on pencil, finds there's not much left to chew on, tosses it into the waste basked that Matina has thoughtfully placed beside her*
*gets a new pencil to chew on*

It's my attempt to contribute to the hootoo NaJoPoMo. Sol wrote about in this week's here:

And I, foolishly, thought writing a fan fiction Oblivion based story would be fun *laughs hollowly*
The first few posts of the story can be found here: A87721194
And I'm torn between writing and playing Skyrim, and at times I feel my brain is running out of fuel to come up with anyting reasonably creative. Bah.

*draws a deep breath of relief, tosses pen and paper aside, and gallops away to play some more Skyrim*

I don't sweat or perspire either one. I glisten.
I need to start counting down the days to retirement again. If the world ends before I get the chance to retire, I will be very annoyed.

Ah, Skyrim. I pick up my copy tonight. I will be doing my best to hold off playing until the weekend, though.

How fair is this? I just got back from the dentist, he says I have a cavity. Now, I brush at least twice a day, every day, and I do it well. My kids never get cavities and I cannot verify that they brush their teeth well!

Too tired even to play Skyrim, so with this picture, I bid you all good night:

Eats, how expensive are the laptop and chainsaw you're looking at, respectively? Since the iPad 2 has a webcam, it sounds like it might be alright to do the video chat you want. So would buying an iPad 2 *instead* of a laptop leave enough money left over for the chainsaw? If not, I say go with a laptop that has a good webcam built in.

Eatsmice:
Chainsaw = $ out for investment, then $$$ in from work
Laptop = $ out for investment, then $$$ in (if used for work)
iPad2 = $$ out for investment, then $0.00 in (because it's a toy)

B4, I'm curious. What sort of laptop are you comparing the iPad 2 with? I could buy two iPads 2 for the price I paid for the laptop I'm using now.

Whee. I've been distracted with another newly-released video game, Saints Row: The Third. It is ... lowbrow. Perhaps on the opposite end of "brow" from Skyrim, perhaps. It goes further than Monty Python in taking refuge in audacity, except that it's not specifically trying to be funny. But it is fun, in a psychotically murderous sort of way.

Eats is correct. Horses get into a lather, much of it from the mouth, a function of a well-schooled horse working with a relaxed jaw.
