I could have written that intro, sounds just like my little NaJoPoMo story:

'There must have been some terrible mistake!'

'Off with her head!'

'You're pretty, I'll give you that, just stay away from my husband.'

I'm finding it a little frustrating at the moment as the PC controls are lagging quite badly. I've managed to fix the mouse problems thanks to some rather enterprising people on t'internets, but the keyboard lag is quite irritating.

Mr Vip seems to be getting on OK though so I'll persevere! Hopefully there'll either be a patch or a fix through the PC client (I don't really like fiddling with it but hey).

Odd, the only part that lagged for me was the very first part, on the wagon.

Oh, by the way, have either of you managed to find where print screens are saved? I've tried both Print Screen and F12 but can't find anything in the related folders...

Hmm, no, we haven't used them yet. If we do find them I'll post here for you. smiley - smiley

It's been a long time since I've felt like such a complete noob - and the graphics are quite different from anything I've ever seen before, as far as I can recall.

I just had my body burnt to cinders in two fire blasts. I picked up this mission at level 3, but I certainly can't complete it at level 3! That Nettlesbane.... Nettlesband... Nettlesomething is surrounded by rather tough witches, or at least they're tough for this little Argonian. smiley - monster

For some reason, my Drop and Favourite buttons have been reversed in my inventory - Freya was told off by a guard to not let weapons lay around, or someone would be sorry (her).

Ah, and in case anyone else has problem with low volume ingame like I had, I found this solution worked for me:

Go to your documents and then \My Games\Skyrim there is a file called SkyrimPrefs.
Inside it, scroll down to the very bottom and you'll find 2 lines:
[AudioMenu]
fAudioMasterVolume=1.000
Just change that 1.000 to a higher value, according to your listening needs (personally, i use 4.000)

Cool, found a book describing events in Oblivion; 'The Oblivion Crisis':

Extract from the book:
'...the Emperor made his way down to the dungeons, to a secret escape route built into one of the prison cells. For reasons known only to himself, the Emperor pardoned the fortunate prisoner in that cell. Some say the prisoner reminded him of a childhood friend. Others say it was a moment of prophecy.'

Wohooo - my favourite source for Oblivion information now also has a Skyrim section:

I don't get the new lockpicking system one bit - anyone care to explain it to me, please?

It's like the system in Fallout 3 and New Vegas from what I've seen...

Read that too, but what is 'feel'?

When they say 'feel' they mean 'briefly click the mouse button'. If it does work as in Fallout the lock will start to turn smoothly when you have the right spot. Easier locks have larger 'sweet spots' that are closer to the top.

Encountered my first bug, can't pick up the document that would prove to Thoral is held captive. Argh. After all this sneaking. I wonder if Avulstein will take my word for it?
