In the time it takes to get from Euston to South Wimbledon on the tube, a new thread starts and I'm not even on the first led.

Third sighting, that means it lives here -- I have a road runner! She's walking around the stubbly field behind my house and seems to be finding plenty to eat. I told a Floridian friend of mine about it and she was extremely surprised, thought road runners were fictitious cartoon characters. But they're not. They're the state bird for New Mexico.

Damn, just missed first LED.

Had some fun on the bus this evening. Sat down, got out book. Two seconds later, obviously somewhat... Unstable, and started yammering away. I had a bowl of petunias moment, but then, saved! She took one look at the cover of my book [graphic novel based on The Zombie Survival Guide], gave a horrified squeak and scuttled off to the back of the bus. Score one for Max Brookes .

Sorry to hear about the sproglet Kelli, and I echo the thoughts of those who have suggested getting him checked out for allergies.

Oh fiddle-face! If I'd not been faffing around I'd have made the first LED. Oh well, here now.

Last thing Corto ate (that he wasn't supposed to) was most of a freshly baked rye bread (as in A500482). I think he felt more than a little full and I actually noticed something was amiss before I noticed the missing bread. He looked very shameful...
