Had a lovely day walking yesterday and really tempted to go out today. But my To DO list is getting rather large and overwhealming.

[p] where the to do list involves digging rather than spending time in front of a computer

You're supposed to put marshmallows and whipped cream in hot cocoa, not a cell phone, Santra!

We've had a lovely productive afternoon making board games. Quite big ones, this time too. We've just assembled the first and now waiting for the varnish to dry.

Board games, Vip? Tell me more...

It's a part of the game that Mr Dreadful, Runescribe and I play. The LARP thing.
My particular group are providing the setting for the next event (Easter), and something we want to do is have board games at the bar to loan out. So we've adapted a board game that we own, and reproduced it in wood. We're also doing lots of other exciting things, but these are our current pet projects. It may still be five months away but we have an awful lot of things to do!

At the scouting jamboree this summer there was a set of activities with board (and some other) games that were made in oversize. Mega-ludo with dice 3 feet along each side and board and pieces of a size to match. Mega-twister, mega-mikado, ... Quite

Sounds like and excellent project, Vip. I used to be a member The English Civil War Society many, many moons ago. Must get back to something along the same lines soon.

Fog on the hills, mouse elbow in my right arm, and a sore lower back. I should be happy and grateful to have any feeling at all, but I'm not, I'm quite grumpy. I have laundry and some picking up to do (all the flat surfaces in the house seem to have disappeared), but I feel more like curling up in my easy chair and not moving for a while.
Which would make my back go stiff.
Meanwhile, my spam filter is filling up with virus-laden messages purportedly from the IRS, concerning under-reported income.

Oh dear, Lil. *hugs*
I have a headache. It is making me grumpy, and also guilty, because I'm missing the litter-pick on the LARP field. We litter-pick every term, to keep it comparatively safe to run around on in the dark, and this will be the first I've missed.

Lil, have you forwarded the messages to the IRS? I've been getting them at work. Some pretending to be the IRS and some pretending to be the state of Iowa wanting our EIN # because the one on file doesn't match our legal name. Why they think a library in Missouri would need to send any informaton to Iowa is beyond me.
It is definitely fall in the Ozarks. Our overnight lows are dropping into the upper 30sF.
Hugs for everyone who need them.

*forgot what I was saying. Oh, yeah!*
... People were betting at work, but I am completely uninterested. Congratulations Santra, Tartaronne, Pierce (if he's around)
Had good day here, walk in the woods in the slight drizzle was lovely. Son M had a friend over - I sent them to the grocer, and then they made chocolate cake. Beautiful kids.
Only sad note was their granddad had heart surgery and got a pacemaker last week. He's home and OK, but still scary. I just sent flowers.
Kids have decided to stay here a little extra. Seems to become the routine. I'm glad they're comfortable here, but worry little about them losing contact with dad. Will be fine, I suppose.
