Of course you have to install Windows 7 2 days in advance because it doesn't, you know, work out of the box.


Installing OS Snow Leopod wasn't that much effort for The Lodger. It was for me because I don't have enough RAM. So he brought me some RAM as rent. He isn't giving me any money for rent so favours, private prescriptions etc seem to do.

So long as he turns down any requests or offers in relation to ironing.

So the US President is whirlwinding in and out of Copenhagen in support of the Chicago bid for the Olympics. Fice hours on the ground, do a speech, meet the Queen & the Prime Minister, pick up Mrs Obama and fly back

(Actually - thinking about it... "Hey, sweetheart, I'm in Copenhagen next week - couldn't you take the 747 and pick me up?" )

That's all fine. But when ABC news mentions that while the President is in Copenhagen, he will surely meet with Queen Elisabeth... And a press liason asks the Danish journalists for web adresses and asks if Denmark uses the same alphabet so that he'll be able to read them... Then I get a little amused

Same alphabet? Don't they know that we socialist countries have adopted the Cyrillic alphabet?

Oh well...

Not only the US President, but Oprah Winfrey comes to Copenhagen! She'll actually do a TV show here - trying to figure out why we Danes are rather consistently at the top of the list of the happiest populations. (My foreign colleagues keep telling us it's because we don't expect much...)

Not here--we have a sub all week, as Mr.B (Mrs. P's replacement now that she's retired) is in training for a rather vital bit of curriculum, which came into use while he was in Thailand teaching English (and getting married--he and his wife were at Immigration at the end of last week--at least it's the same sub).

Yes, actually! I've been having problems with my right leg, and recently the left has joined the party. It's worse than just being numb - there's no signal that there's a foot at the end of my leg. They disappear about mid-calf. Fortunately it's not constant, but when I'm tired it gets worse. Driving is right out!
