The MRI went fine -- in and out in 20 minutes -- but the real pain of all of it (literally) was that they had me go to one building, which has parking spaces right in front, and then, when they realized they'd be jammed up, had me go to the other MRI on the other side of the hospital....not exactly a short haul. At least on the way back they gave me a ride. Perhaps it's because on the way there, I ran into their boss, who asked me how I was and called me by name. But maybe not.
sc, never taken levaquin. Why, is that supposed to have some effect on tendons?
$2 bills are quite popular as gifts for Chinese New Year...which suggests to me that someone is stockpiling them, because we get a ton of them at the pub from students who got them as gifts. And they're all crisp and new. I bought a couple to give to D.

As to Freddie and survival, we'll know by the end of the month, eh? It's going to be a long one.
Just got the reports for my brain and cervical spine MRIs. No physical abnormalities in the brain (my qualification ) -- no problems on spinal cord. A touch of spondilitis is all.
Everything has gone to Dr. Fraley, and we'll have a phone consult next.
Glad to hear the MRI went OK, MR -- when do you learn the results?
I hope everyone has a great time in Leeds.

Sorry for not going through the backlog. I promise to do that later on.
I regret to say that I am not going to Leeds/Saltaire/Bradford. Yesterday was great, but it just about finished off my foot. It is swolen and discolored today again and quite painful. Tomorrow will be spent doing nothing except resting my foot.
I'm pleased to announce that the birthday curse is apparently broken. I had a wonderful day. Thanks guys.
Got a bit of bad news when I logged on. Rocky died. BC#1 buried him in my garden.
Now, it's time for me to get my foot propped up on a comfy cushion.

The tutor that I will be submitting my assignment to prefers "data" to be plural.
Now, I am a linguistic liberal: I am not sure if there can ever be such thing as 'correct' usage and however you use the language is fine by me so long as I can observe it. And I am a linguistic democrat, I tend to go with my peer group if only to improve my chances of being understood.
So, I regard "data" as basically indivisible, like "fog" or "rice". Thus: "the data is interesting". Ok, I admit I use "media" in the plural, but you can still say "medium" and not be a complete a**e-hole.
You see, I think that only someone whose datum is right up their rectum convolutes the English language like that. Phnfah!
Anyway just such a datum-rectum-qantum-lorem-ipsum is teaching me this module and he has thrown a linguistic tantrum, and now so am I.
The question is, can I write a whole paper on research methods without using "data" as the subject of a sentence? I am quite tempted to say "the results we get 'datis'" and let him ablate on that. Or "the implications 'datorum'". Yeah. I like that. Decline on that genitive, datum boy!
How bloody dare he impose his linguistic quirks upon me? Just because he's the teacher an' has a doctorate an' all.
I'm being oppressed by the patriarchy.
Tosser!

Oh dear, Ben! Is it wrong that your post made me smile?
Good news about Sporky feeling better.
Glad everyone had a good time at the zoo yesterday. Hope your foot recovers soon, Hyp.

Going to get techie guys from PC World to look at it.
If it cant be fixed, I think I will buy a big sledgehammer and....................
ah, I will just have to do it all again, if I can. But this time, burn it to DVD each time I quit for a rest, or go to bed, or whatever.

For "just a touch of spondilitis" it's certainly been causing mayhem, Lil.
I do hope that something can be done to alleviate the problems you've been having and send GoodVibes (tm) to MR also.
Candles were also lit in Westminster Cathedral for several Salonistas and other people, about whom I currently worry.
It's good to hear that Sporky may be out of hospital soon.
* wonders how the Singing Librarian's interview went - and wishes to Bookmouse too.
It's been great seeing so many different Salonistas and Hootooers over recent weeks
And we have Saturday to look forward too as well.
* crosses fingers for kind weather

Probably the use of the anglo-saxon for 'rectum'.
The gist is on my blog, so it's not lost to posterior-ity.

What's it 16,000 words on, gt? I wonder if there are people better at it than PC world? And, yes, external media are the only way.
